Chapter Text
Everyone is on edge about the Dread Doctors and what it means for the Beacon Hills packs. In the Donovan aftermath -
Stiles knew Chris had told Peter something . It was clear in the way that the alpha hung around him, touching his back gently and even going so far as to openly scent him in front of the Pack. The look Scott gave him after that one was a photo for the scrapbooks. Part of him thought that it was the lingering scent of Chris on him, and perhaps it was at first, but after three showers and five days there was no way that was still it. So Peter knew something, but it was a backburner issue; if it was an issue at all.
Stiles and Scott still fight over it, though less intensely than in canon as the evidence of the wrench is gone. As things continue to roll downhill and they need to use more resources to end the threat it comes to light that Gerard is alive.
Chris and Peter fight in a true knock down- drag out fashion. Peter, feeling betrayed and angry and Chris defending his decisions through the lens of family and the need for a resource to go back to.
Stiles intervenes and makes them stop fighting but only after the apartment had been thoroughly wrecked. He manages to break the tension in the following week by announcing his acceptance to the FBI program.
Deucalion shows up to help take down the chimeras and forms a tentative alliance with Peter. Deucalion’s blindness has returned for real and they toss about the possibility of Deucalion becoming pack adjacent.
The defeat of the Dread Doctors goes off without a hitch and leaves everyone feeling somewhat adrift. Chris and Peter talk about their fight as adults and spend some time apart though they are far from “splitting up”
Chris and Peter do talk more about having Stiles in their pack and relationship in some ways and Chris decides that he isn’t completely opposed. However, they both agree that Stiles need to take some time away and his internship with the FBI is the perfect opportunity for that. If, after , he completes his programs he still wants to be in a relationship then they would actively pursue him.
Dinner soon after starts the tentative courtship between the three of them. Chris mostly in the background.
Two years pass as Chris and Peter settle in Georgia and build their pack. Derek and Lucien move around fairly often but visit at least once a year. Derek gets an apprenticeship with a mechanic and opens his own private restoration business so he can work when he wants but still do something that he loves.
Stiles comes down for a break to spend time with them, about a month. They all fall into bed together pretty soon after that. Peter, once Stiles goes back to DC, flies up once a month for date nights (See the fic The 16th for more details).
Their pack grows by four in that time with a single father, Caspian coming to them as his adoptive daughter has turned out to be a wolf and at 7 years old she struggles immensely with control. His other daughter, Asher (9) is mute and human and a menace. Peter took them in instantly.
Back in Beacon Hills the Anuke ite trouble begins. Halwyn does not die to a silver bullet to a skull but instead does suffer great damage and is forced to recover. The Trio (Chris, Peter, and Stiles) return to help and to, hopefully, put an end to the troubles once and for all. Deucalion meets them there.
Chris, after encountering the “thing” at the hospital returned to Peter’s apartment completely shaken and fearful.
“Peter.” His hands are still shaking and he knows they aren’t about to stop. It’s a moment too late when he realizes that Stiles is laid across Peter’s chest and by then both men are up and Peter is crossing the room. Hands take hold of his own, warm and steady, they squeeze before letting go and taking his face between them.
“What happened?”
“I don’t- there’s a body in the hospital. Melissa- she asked me to take a look and I’ve never never felt anything like it. Peter I’m”
“Scared.” It’s almost a whisper, incredulous. “Come on, sit down.” Peter strips his jacket off him and pushes him to where Stiles is still on the couch.
“Come on big guy, I promise not to bite.” There’s a blanket dropped over his shoulders and he clings to it, a thin shield. He knew he wasn’t in danger. Had known that for half an hour now but his body refuses to cooperate. Stiles hesitates to touch him but places his hand on his back nonetheless. It’s soothing but it’s better when Peter joins them, arm wrapping securely around his shoulders. Lips press against his temple.
“There’s something terrible going on, Peter.”
It takes a few days for him to return to normal and in that time he has the pleasure of meeting Halwyn and extending the pack adjacent status to the hellhound. They have the space for a visitor and the man seemed to need a quiet spot to lay down.
The Anuk Ite is dealt with and Chris knows well enough that Kate killed Gerard. He doesn’t struggle with that thought as much as he thinks he should which is hard for him to come to terms with.
Noah Stilinski receives an open invitation to the Hale-Argent land whenever he wishes though he doesn’t quite approve of the relationship between his son and his ‘lovers’. He trusts Peter enough with Stiles’ well being to accept it. Chris takes up leather and woodworking in his newfound free time and works as a consultant for hunters around the country.
Once Stiles has finished his training and gotten experience under his belt he's transferred to the GBI (Georgia Bureau of Investigation) in Atlanta just about 2 hours from the pack lands. He can work from home occasionally and travels just often enough to stay on his toes.
They all start their new lives with Beacon Hills behind them
