Chapter Text
This living situation was already causing problems. Tony could see all that was happening over the cameras. She was going to keep away for a little while. She knew better than to walk around near them after they just got back. With moving and all the paperwork, they had to go through. She knew that they would be under stress. She just hoped that having her around would make it easier for the people around her. She had been up for hours working and trying to complete projects in advance so that she could share them with the others.
Thing was that she loved making things. She couldn’t hold back from updating there gear or weapons. Not that they would take them now thanks to the fight. Though with working with Shuri she was able to pass them off as being Wakandan. Shuri did help build them even looked over the designs to make them look sleeker. At this rate, she would be able to complain about the shipment taking so long to get here from Wakanda and get them excited for what the king might have sent.
It was working so well before Laura started to yell. She had begged her to wait a few days even if it was just a day for them to settle in. She just wanted them to stop fighting. Sighing she knew that she would have to turn on the charm. She started for the elevator when Friday pinged her. Turning to see that Bucky had restrained Steve. What had happened at that moment that she stood up? What had she missed?
“Friday baby girl what just happened?” She asked as she rushed towards the elevator. She was out of time and should have been up there six weeks ago. If she was faster and in better shape then she would have taken the stairs.
There was a click before she could hear steve saying “Laura, Tony has gotten in your head. You’re being manipulated and abused by her” It hurt but that was something that she knew would happen. She knew the moment that he lied to her that Steve didn’t care about her as much as others. Taking a deep breath she started ‘fixing’ her self. She pulled at her clothing and messed up her hair to make it look like she had been sleeping. She took a step off the elevator and moved quickly with a striped that didn’t make it look like she was in a hurry. “Wow what a show happening up here,” She said walking into the living room. Bucky was still holding onto Steve.
Steve turned the amount that he could and glared at her “Tony” he snarled. She would have been angry or upset about that once, now she laughed it off. She just smiled walked forward. It was at a place where it looked like she was better than everyone else. She would have said something to Laura but that would only make the situation worse. They really would think that she forced Laura to get a divorce.
“What’s up Steve?” She asked pretending that she had no idea of what was happening. Natasha might be the assassin but she was the actress. She could make anything that she played to feel real. Whether that was love, lust, or fear. Her mother taught her how to use her body well.
Bucky released Steve as the man stood up. He snarled at her “You for forcing Laura to divorce Clint” and she let her face drop. It would show shock before she smiled and turned. Steve didn’t even look back to the other man. She was doing the perfect thing. Everything was going according to plan.
“Laura we need to do a singles night!!! ALL THE SINGLE LADYS” She laughed making herself into the bad guy was the easiest thing that he could have chosen. Laura laughed and nodded saying something about getting a babysitter. It was so easy to make all eyes turn to her that she would have laughed about it. It wasn’t like she hadn’t done something like this again. She made a big deal about her equipment or Clints when Bruce got mad at them turning all eyes on her. She would fuck someone if Steve was getting too angry at the others. She was the bad influence, the girl that couldn’t keep it together long enough to get the mission done.
“TONY! What are you trying to do here? Because we are trying to move forward and forgive you” Steve said and Tony wanted nothing more than to scream. What would that even help with? She had nothing that she could argue with. No one believed her anyway. She was the wild child that was only interested in sex, drugs, and war.
“Steve that’s-” Bucky started but he didn’t get to finish because Tony turned. She was smiling know that there was no way to win other then what she was doing.
“Steve I don’t have to do anything. It’s just your bad luck” She said walking away from them. She knew that would give them all something to steam about for hours. Maybe if she was lucky they would be mad about it for days and leave the others alone. She wondered if she should make appearances every morning if she could go back to ignoring that they insist. Either way, it didn’t matter all that much to her.
She all but ran back to her lab after she was out of sight. She knew that they would want to talk to her about this later. That only left another thing that she had to take care of. Thor and Loki were getting too close. She didn’t mind Bruce because he didn’t really want to get near her. He just wanted to stay safe and keep others safe. It wasn’t all that big of a deal to him. He had also never cared much for sex. She had to fix that and make them see that getting close to her wasn’t what they wanted. How could they even want her after all this time? She had done so much and her new plan would only serve to crush them more.
