Chapter Text
A white space.
Little lights danced over the plain.
Sam noticed that he wasn't the only one in the area, Jacob stood closest to him and to both of their surprise Bowman was there...and the same size as Sam.
Jacob made a confused noise, alerting the other two to another in the room. His hair a similar shade of blonde to WolfHeart, green eyes that sent pain through Sam's heart and looking like his older brother...but older.
Once he smiled, Sam knew who it was.
“Dean?!” His older brother crushed him into a hug, the two stood there until Bowman spoke up in confusion.
“There was another giant?! Where were you when we were getting attacked by a Liche?!”
“I was there fighting undead wolves and getting tossed into a tree.” Dean smiled up at Bowman.
Sam realized that he was taller than his older brother as realization fluttered across Bowman's face, “WolfHeart!?”
Dean laughed, “I was turned into a Wolf and transported near Wellswood protecting my little brother, Sam. Then I met a little kid who needed help, that little kid was a troublemaker that kept me sane. I probably call him little brother too.”
Sam looked at Bowman and saw a brief heartbreak in his eyes, would his brother leave his new family?
“I'm not leaving Wellswood.”
Sam sighed, feeling as though he knew the answer since he started connecting the dots.
“He's your blood brother!”
“Being blood related doesn't make you any less important, besides we'll keep in touch.”
The nonchalant way Dean put it made Jacob look at him, “You mean like visit?”
Dean walked over to Jacob and patted his shoulder, “You're adopted now.”
That left the teen a bit confused but a female's voice startled them from their conversation, “I see you are enjoying my first gift.”
Dean and Bowman bowed, quickly followed by Sam and Jacob.
“My gift for you all will be small, but each night I will connect all four of your dreams so you may keep in touch with one another.” The Spirit looked to Dean and Bowman and continued, “Dean WolfHeart Winchester, blood brother of Sam Winchester and Heart brother to Bowman Leafwing. Despite being surrounded by love, you often miss conversing with another. I cannot cure you of the tainted curse that transforms you into a beast, but I can give you the ability to converse with those close to you or as you say, you “adopted”.”
Dean grinned, being the closest to him, Sam noticed his eyes glistening and wisely said nothing.
The Spirit shimmered before leaving the group to themselves, the backyard making the clearing before the village.
Dean reacquainted himself with his brother as Jacob learned about Bowman, talking about any and everything.
Until it was time to wake.
========
Dean was awaken by the sun beaming in his face and someone small pulling at his fur.
With a quick we whiff, he could tell it was a baby. Naturally he opened one eye and held still.
A mother was pulling her baby off of him, she smiled when she caught his eye and walked off to her business.
Dean yawned and looked towards Sam and Jacob, internally smiling at the sight of Bowman nestled into Jacob's neck.
“WolfHeart!” The loudest whisper brought his attention to an incoming Rischa.
Rischa's mother carried a basket of cakes with a worried eye on Sam and Jacob, “I'm sure they have food with them.”
Rischa's mother nearly dropped her basket in shock, “By the Spirit! WolfHeart?”
“The Spirit gave us all irreplaceable gifts, I adopted you as an aunt since I was a pup. Just as I adopted Bowman and the other Sprites.”
Jacob, and begrudgingly Bowman, awoke to a scene of Rischa and Bowman's aunt petting and hugging Dean and the human turned Beast taking it all in.
Bowman huffed, “He seems pleased.” The Spirit caught his balance only to realize where he slept last night
Jacob looked over to Sam, who had various flowers tied in his hair and still asleep. The chuckle that escaped the younger giant alerted everyone and caused them to look at Sam.
No one mentioned to Sam about his new headdress, so Dean wrote that off as a good morning.
By the time Sam awoke, Rischa and Dean were chatting like no tomorrow. Sam looked at Jacob and the rest of Bowman's family.
Wellwood was bustling with life, many giving Sam and Jacob a wide berth but coming towards Dean to pet his fur.
The more the newly found younger brother thought about it, his big brother would not be able to come with him without completely stripping him of his humanity.
Besides, he could always visit. He shifted and caught everyone there's attention.
Pulling out a a card with a number and an extra burner phone, “If you guys ever need us, WolfHeart will show you how to use a phone.”
Dean straightened up and Bowman nodded, “You are leaving?”
Sam gave a smile, “More Innocents to save and so little time, and I think my guardian Bobby should know about Dean. Besides, We should probably eat elsewhere.”
Bowman and Dean nodded, slowly getting up, Dean let Rischa slide off of him and left the way towards the entrance to the village.
With promises to return and a tearful goodbye, Sam and Jacob followed Dean and Bowman to where they met.
The walk was silent, which was odd considering Dean would have missed talking to others since he had been turned.
Sam and Jacob stopped at the entrance, “So this is “see you later”?”
Dean huffed, “Of course, you two make sure to visit soon. I may be convinced by a certain little brother to hunt you down.”
Bowman huffed, “Not to many times, we don't need loud giants crowding everyone too soon.”
Jacob laughed, “We'll miss you too Bowman.”
Dean sat down as the newest and oldest additions to his family got into (“Where's My Baby Sammy?”) A truck and drove away.
Inside the car, Sam was smiling and wiping away tears. Thankful that Jacob decided to drive instead.
Though at the entrance, WolfHeart remained at the gate. Not moving until he could no longer hear the engine. Bowman patted his Heart Brother's head, “Your Sam... isn't so bad.”
There was a huff as they returned to start their patrols, both agreeing that nothing will be the same again.
