Chapter Text

Once Jimin has a new set of classes to teach, it takes him a little over a month to fall into a routine. His fears of not having time for a relationship turn out to be unfounded because seeing Yoongi most days becomes part of it.

Yoongi’s apartment is actually a little bit closer to the studio Jimin teaches at than his own, and for the first few weeks he had used that as an excuse to show up and stay over on the nights when his schedule ended later than Yoongi’s. That had turned out to be most nights, and Yoongi always welcomed him, so Jimin didn’t even really think about it until Tae said something offhandedly.

Jimin had tried to dial it back then, not wanting to come off as too clingy, but when Jimin started to stay at his own apartment again Yoongi had only started inviting him over more. Yoongi had made sure Jimin knew he’s always welcome and free to use the spare key that Yoongi still refuses to take back even now. Jimin was and still is a bit hesitant to get that comfortable in someone else’s apartment, though, and never uses the key that he keeps on his key ring. This means Jimin has to make sure Yoongi is home before he swings by.

So now, after teaching the last class of the day, an evening class, Jimin turns on his phone to text Yoongi. He’s surprised to see he has several unread texts from Yoongi and one from Namjoon. Jimin is used to the regular text from Namjoon or Hoseok. They're usually teasing him about something Yoongi did or implying he did something lewd to make Yoongi sing while he works. Occasionally, though, they're about something more serious like a work related injury or almost injury that Yoongi has tried to brush off as nothing when it's probably something. Jimin appreciates the heads up, and it's for that reason he opens Namjoon's text first, worrying already. It doesn’t turn out to be what he expects at all.

Hope you like kittens. Hyung just took a stray in, and I doubt he’ll be willing to give her up no matter what he says.

It’s time stamped a lot earlier on in the day, and Jimin has a lot of questions, but he’s hoping Yoongi’s messages will clear it up. When he opens his message thread with Yoongi, he’s accosted by several pictures of the fluffiest tortoiseshell and white baby kitten. Jimin coos out loud at it before looking up from his phone to make sure no one heard that. He scrolls up to the top of the messages to see the first message.

Went out to pick up lunch and someone left this little guy in a box in the cold. Fuckers

There’s an accompanying picture of the little kitten peering out of a cardboard box on the sidewalk and Jimin feels his heart break. He doesn’t understand how heartless someone would have to be to leave a kitten on the street, especially without its mother. The least they could do was bring it to the shelter. It makes him angry, and even though the text was sent hours ago and there’s more messages Jimin is about to type out an enraged response. He settles down when he scrolls down a little to see the fluffy kitten standing looking pitifully small on a scale in what Jimin can only assume is the vet's office.

Turns out he is actually a she, and she’s around six weeks old but she’s perfectly healthy. I’m going to take her to the shelter to see if they’ll take her.

Yoongi says he’s taking her to the shelter, however, the next message is just a picture sent less than a half an hour after the last. In the picture, Yoongi is lying down shirtless with the baby kitten lying on his stomach, fast asleep. Jimin feels a rush of affection for Yoongi and the kitten. He hopes Yoongi doesn’t plan on giving her up still. Jimin is more than willing to take her in. His apartment allows cats, and Jimin has been wanting one. It means he’ll have to be home more often, but it was Yoongi who told him he had to make time for the things he wants, and Jimin is willing.

The final message is a picture of the kitten with its still sleepy looking blue eyes open, sprawled onto Yoongi’s one hand.

Look who just woke up from her nap.

Jimin loves her already. He can’t handle how cute she is.

Oh my God, hyung, she’s precious. I’m on my way over.

Jimin doesn’t reply to Yoongi’s ‘drive safe’ message before he’s in his car and on the way. By the time he reaches Yoongi’s apartment, he’s prepared a persuasive speech on why he should be able to keep the kitten.

Jimin plans to open with the speech, but when Yoongi opens the door, still shirtless with the fluffy kitten cradled against his chest with his one hand, Jimin loses his ability to speak or even greet Yoongi. He just coos at the little kitten, stroking her head with a finger before he’s even all the way in the apartment. Jimin does finally close the door behind himself and gather himself together after a while.

“Hyung, she’s perfect,” Jimin whines. “Can I hold her?”

Yoongi grins gummily at him before checking to make sure she’s awake and that transferring her won’t wake her up and upset her. She blinks at him curiously.

“This is Moonshine,” Yoongi says as he places the small fluffy kitten in Jimin’s hands. She purrs and nuzzles into Jimin’s hands, and it’s so cute that Jimin is almost too distracted to process what Yoongi said.

“Moonshine? Like the drink?” Jimin asks, looking down at the kitten, and not thinking she looks like a Moonshine. He settles down on the couch with the fluffy kitten.

“Yeah,” Yoongi says happily, “I have my Sunshine and my Moonshine.” He gestures between Jimin and the cat and Jimin is unamused. Jimin huffs at Yoongi’s cheesiness, trying not to jostle the kitten in his hands, and Yoongi laughs at his expression before sitting down next to him on the couch.

“So you’re keeping her?”

“Well, I was going to bring her to the shelter—” Yoongi says, but Jimin cuts him off.

“Hyung, you can’t! I want to keep her. I’ll take her in. I love her.” Jimin pouts and brings the purring cat closer to his face so he can nuzzle her. “You know I’ve been wanting a cat, and my apartment allows cats, and you were the one who said I should make time for things I want, hyung!” Jimin feels proud that he got all his major points he wanted to hit in his speech out.

“Jimin-ah, you didn’t even let me finish. I was saying, I was going to bring her to the shelter, but she’s the sweetest kitten I’ve ever met, and my apartment also allows cats, so I’m keeping Moony.” Yoongi holds his hands out to take the kitten back, and Jimin reluctantly hands her back over, but she meows when Yoongi grabs her and it sounds like a cry. Jimin never wants to hear her cry again.

“I should take her. She likes me better,” Jimin says petulantly. He’s the one who’s been wanting a cat after all, but Jimin watches as Yoongi pets her oh so gently and she purrs.

“There’s my sweet Moonshine. Don’t cry, baby,” Yoongi coos at her, playing with her tiny paws. Jimin swears on his life that he isn’t jealous of the kitten. She deserves all of the loving attention, and Yoongi is the cutest while he deals it out, but Moonshine? Really?

“Sunshine,” Yoongi says finally looking up from the kitten and furrowing his eyebrows at Jimin. “I already got her stuff and got it situated here. Plus my apartment is way easier to kitten proof.”

Jimin wants to scoff because Yoongi’s barely ever even been inside his apartment, but that’s probably accurate. His apartment is generally more messy than Yoongi’s. Jimin can’t help but feel a little sad though. He had been so sure he was going to have to convince Yoongi to let him keep the cat, and he’d already been so settled on taking her home and keeping her for himself that not being able to bums him out even though he knows he’ll still see her.

“Jimin-ah, you’ll get to see her when you come over,” Yoongi placates, putting the hand he’s not using to support the kitten on Jimin’s thigh to squeeze. Jimin knows this, and he knows the kitten will be better off staying here, but he looks at the tiny fluff against Yoongi’s chest and doesn’t let it go so easily.

“I know, but she’ll miss me when I’m not here, and I want her to—” Jimin starts to argue, but doesn’t get to finish his thought because Yoongi cuts in before he can, looking at him seriously.

“So just move in, Sunshine,” Yoongi says smoothly, like it’s the most obvious suggestion for him to make. “You’re always here anyway, and it’s not like I don’t want you here. What? Jimin, why are you looking at me like that?”

“Hyung!” Jimin says squeakily, feeling his cheeks heat. “You can’t just say that!”

Jimin stares down at the kitten and bites his lip, not being able to look Yoongi in the eyes right now. Part of him thinks he was trying to see if Yoongi would offer to have him move in if he argued, but he didn’t expect it to be such an easy thing for him to do. Moving in together is a big, serious step. Jimin doesn’t have to have any experience in relationships to know that.

“Why not?” Yoongi asks with a shrug that makes the kitten move in his hand before resettling. “You already have a key. It wouldn’t be hard to add you to the lease.”

“B-because! Hyung, that’s serious,” Jimin says, not understanding how Yoongi can be so nonchalant about it when they haven’t even been together, officially at least, for that long.

“Are we not serious to you?” Yoongi asks worriedly, and Jimin looks at him then with his eyes wide, trying to come up with the right thing to say to that. Yoongi sighs. “Jimin-ah, if you’re not—”

“No!” Jimin interrupts, squeezing Yoongi’s hand and intertwining their fingers when Yoongi moves it from his thigh. “No, hyung, whatever you’re about to say, I don’t like it. Don’t put words in my mouth. I’m serious about us, Yoongi,” Jimin says angrily. He doesn’t care if he sounds like a brat. He thought Yoongi understood that, that he’s totally invested in him, even if Jimin has held off on saying he loves him back. Yoongi softens at that.

“Fuck, I know, I know you do. I’m sorry, Sunshine. I’m not trying to rush you into saying or doing something you’re not ready for. I just, I don’t know, I want you here all the time and I want to raise Moony with you. I know you’ve never done this before and it’s probably a lot.” Yoongi seems frustrated with himself, and Jimin doesn’t like it.

“No, hyung, I—if you think we’re ready and it won’t mess anything up then I-I want to,” Jimin stutters, but it’s true. He’s more comfortable in Yoongi’s apartment with Yoongi than he is at his own. The nights he goes back to his own place feel lonely, and he’s hated living alone since Tae moved out. He’s definitely a little scared that it’ll somehow cause tension between them or Yoongi might get sick of him, but living here with him sounds nice.

Yoongi leans over to kiss him gently on the lips, and when Jimin looks at him, he’s smiling.

“You’re so fucking cute,” Yoongi says.

“Hyung! Don’t say bad words in front of Moony,” Jimin tuts with a red face as he takes the kitten from Yoongi. Yoongi chuckles at him.

“She’s a kitten, baby, she doesn’t understand.” Yoongi runs a finger down her back before looking at Jimin seriously. “You’re not going to mess anything up if you move in, Jimin-ah, so don’t worry about that, okay?”

Jimin just nods before Moony meows. He looks down at her with a pout when she does it again.

“She’s probably hungry again. Come on, I’ll show you how to feed her,” Yoongi says and Jimin holds her, following Yoongi to the kitchen.

Moving in with Yoongi is simpler than Jimin thought it would be. It only takes him a couple days to sell most of his furniture and the rest goes into storage. Between his car and Yoongi’s truck, it only takes one trip to bring his stuff over. Unpacking is what takes the longest, and Jimin likes to blame that on them having a young kitten who demands a lot of attention. Yoongi doesn’t complain about the boxes or rush him even though Jimin is pretty sure they drive him crazy.

Eventually, a couple months later on one of the nights Yoongi goes to Daegu to help his parents and isn’t there to distract him, Jimin does finish unpacking the last of the boxes instead of just playing with Moony . He lies on the couch when he’s done, and Moony surprises him by jumping on him. Jimin pets her happily. She’s so much bigger than the little fluffy thing she was before, and nicer too, now that she doesn’t claw at him to get comfortable in her favorite spot on his tummy.

Jimin has the tv on, but his attention is divided between stroking a purring Moonshine and looking around the shared space of his and Yoongi’s apartment. He’s happy to have made it to here with Yoongi, even if this was never what he intended to happen when he left Yoongi his number, he’s glad it did. Jimin is proud of himself. He’s proved himself wrong about a lot of things, and even though he’s happy with where he’s at, and he loves Moony, he doesn’t have to look around the room or at Moony to say he’s happy with himself. It’s a nice feeling.

Jimin wakes up to Yoongi stroking his hair. It has to be a lot later if he’s back and the tv is off.

“You weren’t waiting up for me, were you?”

Jimin hums sleepily before he shakes his head. “No, I just finally finished unpacking and must have fallen asleep.” Jimin sits up and stretches, making Moonshine leave her spot on his stomach.

“You finished?” Yoongi asks, looking at him in disbelief. “I thought those boxes were part of our decor at this point,” Yoongi jokes.

Jimin huffs, unamused at how funny Yoongi seems to think he is as he chuckles at his own joke. Yoongi presses a kiss to his sleep puffy cheek. He smells like candy, and Jimin is comforted by his presence.

“I’m glad you finished, baby. Now come to bed. Did you still want me to drive you to the studio later so I can take your car into work?” Yoongi asks and Jimin nods sleepily. His car is due some maintenance once more, and he’s really happy that Yoongi offered to bring it in for him.

Jimin lets Yoongi pull him to bed.

#

Yoongi texts him that he's outside in his truck when Jimin is done with his evening class. Jimin wonders why he didn't just come in to get him when pretty much everyone downstairs knows who he is by now and would've let him in. His question is answered when he opens the passenger side door of the truck to see Yoongi still in his work clothes. He looks very much the same as when Jimin first met him with a backwards cap and the dirty white t-shirt with a ripped neckline.

"Hyung, I could have waited if you wanted to change," Jimin says, feeling bad he probably made Yoongi rush over after dropping his car off.

"I'm not going to make you wait on me, Sunshine. It's fine. I'm just a little grimy," Yoongi says, apologetic. Jimin doesn't think he needs to be apologetic as he stares when Yoongi starts to drive.

Yoongi must not realize Jimin is still staring appreciatively until they reach a light and he looks back at him. Jimin swallows even though his mouth feels dry, not even caring that he's been caught checking Yoongi out until Yoongi quirks an eyebrow at him and opens his mouth.

"Don't tell me this is working for you, baby?" Yoongi laughs when Jimin only blushes and looks out his window in response. "It is! You like me dirty?"

"Shut up, hyung!" Jimin whines. He looks around the truck for anything to distract him from this embarrassing train of conversation and the smug look on Yoongi's face. Jimin plays with the handle on the glove compartment before he opens it absentmindedly.

"What are you looking for? You want candy?" Yoongi asks, surprised, and Jimin rolls his eyes because he's never accepted even one of the guava hard candies Yoongi hordes in his glove compartment and he isn't about to start now.

"Nothing and no," Jimin answers before he starts poking around in the compartment.

Jimin isn’t looking for anything, but when he moves some of the candy he finds a pack of cigarettes buried in them. He turns to look at Yoongi who has his eyes back on the road as he drives. Jimin has never seen him smoke a cigarette in the months they've been together. He feels like he would've known if Yoongi picked the habit back up. He knows Yoongi had been trying hard to stop, so when he plucks the pack out and opens it to see one missing, he doesn't really know what to think.

"Hyung?" Jimin prompts, and Yoongi hums questioningly, not taking his eyes off the road and blindly reaching out to put his hand on Jimin's thigh. "What's this?"

Yoongi does look over at that. He seems to take in Jimin's face and the cigarettes he's holding up separately in the quick double take he does.

"Oh, those are old now," Yoongi says and Jimin nods.

"There's one missing," Jimin points out. He believes Yoongi if he says they're old, but he can't help but be curious.

"Yeah, I didn't smoke it, if that's what you're wondering," Yoongi says as he turns onto their street. "It's in the trash somewhere. That was months ago, though, Sunshine, I promise."

Jimin is quiet while Yoongi parks next to Jimin's car and his motorcycle. Neither of them make a move to get out of the truck.

"I was upset when I bought them. It was stupid. Dahyun stopped me as I was about to light it."

Jimin feels like he makes a bunch of connections at once with the vague timeframe Yoongi has given him. Yoongi probably bought them when they were fighting, and it's no wonder Dahyun wasn't willing to tell Jimin how Yoongi was last time he was at the restaurant. Jimin feels guilty then.

"Jimin-ah, can you look at me? Are you going to say anything? I'm not going to smoke them. I haven't smoked since before I even met you," Yoongi assures him, but Jimin isn't mad.

"Was it when you were upset with me?" Jimin asks, looking up from the pack of cigarettes and back at Yoongi. He bites at the inside of his bottom lip as Yoongi seems to understand why he was quiet.

"It's not like it's your fault. Like I said, it was stupid. I'm not going to start smoking again," Yoongi says, and Jimin nods, trying not to feel guilty.

"Okay, well, I’m keeping them then," Jimin says holding up the pack of cigarettes and clutching them to his chest childishly. Yoongi snorts.

"Okay, you can trust me, you know."

"I know. I do, I just, smoking is bad for you and Moony needs both of her dads around for a long time, hyung," Jimin says simply and Yoongi smiles gummily.

"Yeah? I love you, Sunshine," Yoongi says, his smile never faltering. Jimin smiles widely back at him before getting out the car.

He never says anything in return, but Jimin can’t help but think he always wants to see Yoongi smile the way he just did. It feels important to him that Yoongi is happy, and not just now, but always.

Jimin is stuck in his own head as he follows Yoongi inside, thinking about the last thing he said as they take off their shoes at the door. He’s never thought of his relationship with Yoongi as something that has an expiration date, but he’s struck by the thought of just how long he wants to be with Yoongi and be the one to make him smile. He’d stay with him forever if it’s possible, and not just for Moony’s sake.

Jimin stands there watching Yoongi greet a sleeping Moony on the couch with a scratch behind the ears before going to scrub his hands in the kitchen sink before he starts dinner, still in his dirty work clothes. If Yoongi sees him staring, trapped in a daze, then he doesn’t say anything as he pulls out vegetables to chop. Jimin is overwhelmed suddenly with the need for Yoongi to know that Jimin wants to be there to support him through anything. He wants to be the one to make sure Yoongi is happy and fulfilled. Above all, Jimin needs Yoongi to know that he loves him and he means it.

“Hyung,” Jimin says and Yoongi hums to say he’s listening as he continues to chop carrots. “I love you.”

It happens so quickly that Jimin doesn’t see the knife slip.

“Ow, fuck,” Yoongi exclaims loudly, holding up a bleeding finger before looking at him in awe. “Did you just—”

Jimin yelps, immediately coming over, putting the pack of cigarettes he’s still carrying down on the counter to check on Yoongi’s hand.

“Hyung! You’re supposed to be good with knives! Look what you did, oh my god,” Jimin fusses, pulling Yoongi back over to the sink so he can rinse the cut to see how bad it is. Jimin turns on the faucet and puts Yoongi’s hand under it, worried that Yoongi might need stitches.

Yoongi seems unconcerned though, not even looking at his hand, but at Jimin instead with a goofy smile on his face. Jimin turns to ask how badly it hurts, but he only gets a moment to be taken aback by how much Yoongi doesn’t seem to be in pain before Yoongi uses one hand, with fingers curling around the back of Jimin’s neck and a thumb on his jawline, to pull him closer and kiss him fervently. Jimin forgets their predicament for a moment, kissing back with just as much enthusiasm before pulling back abruptly.

“You idiot! You’re still bleeding,” Jimin says, face flushed before he pulls Yoongi’s hand from the water to look at the cut. It’s not that deep, and Jimin doesn’t think he needs stitches, so he grabs a clean towel to put pressure on it.

Yoongi says nothing, even when Jimin rants at him for being careless.

“You said you loved me,” Yoongi says smugly.

“Min Yoongi. Oh my god, I take it back. You’re a complete idiot,” Jimin says, exasperated, but Yoongi just grins at him.

“You already said it. You can’t take it back now.”

Jimin huffs. “Don’t act like you didn’t already know, hyung.”

“I know, but you said it, Sunshine,” Yoongi says, nudging Jimin so he looks him in the eyes. Jimin feels warm inside at his look.

“Fine, I said it. I love you...when you aren’t being an idiot,” Jimin says, pouting and still putting pressure on Yoongi’s finger since he doesn’t seem to think it’s serious enough to take over for himself.

“I love you, too,” Yoongi says, reclaiming his finger from Jimin before crowding him against the kitchen counter that’s right next to the sink.

“Hyung, your finger—”

“Is fine,” Yoongi says, removing the towel and showing Jimin that it’s barely even bleeding any more, and seems way less serious when it’s not covered in blood. Yoongi gets close enough that Jimin is fully pressed against the counter. He places both of his hands on Jimin’s hips, and Jimin breathes out a laugh.

“Hyung, what are you doing?” he asks breathily.

“Just, let me,” Yoongi says before he swallows roughly and leans in to kiss him.

Jimin feels his cheeks heat as he lets Yoongi kiss him deeply and lift his hips like he wants him to sit on the counter. Jimin breaks the kiss to check behind him to make sure he’s not about to sit on anything before he pushes himself up , happy that their counters are low enough that he doesn't have to jump. Yoongi has his tongue in his cheek as he pushes Jimin’s thighs apart to get between them.

“I, hyung," Jimin says, leaning back against the wall and window behind him and arching his back, not even really knowing what he's asking for. Yoongi leans forward to kiss his jaw and down his neck where he nips playfully before he pulls back.

“Fuck, stay right here, okay? I’ll be right back,” Yoongi says before he leaves the room.

Jimin whines after him because he’s hard in his tights at this point, and he’d be more than willing to take this to the bedroom if that’s where Yoongi disappeared off to. Yoongi doesn’t take long though before he’s coming back with a bottle of lube. He’s lost his pants at some point, leaving him in his underwear, the grimy white shirt, and the hat Jimin is shocked that he hasn’t managed to push off with all their kissing. Jimin decides he likes it on quickly, it’s a good look on him, and Jimin kind of wants him to wear it while he’s fucking him, but he’s unsure if he wants that to happen here, in the kitchen, where they prepare food.

“Here?” Jimin asks, putting every ounce of skepticism in the one word. Jimin has enjoyed having sex on the bed and couch so much since he moved in that this feels even more foreign to him now. He can even recall a time he called Tae and Jungkook out for fucking in the kitchen, grossed out at them.

Yoongi chuckles, placing a hand on the hem of Jimin’s shirt and setting the bottle of lube down next to him.

“Yeah, come on. I’ll make it good for you,” Yoongi says pulling the hem of Jimin’s shirt up. Jimin lifts his arms easily, silently thinking that Yoongi always makes it good for him, but not saying that aloud to feed Yoongi’s already inflated ego about his sexual prowess.

Yoongi goes to pull off his own shirt, but Jimin fists the ripped neckline, holding it down.

“Leave it on,” Jimin says. He thinks that’s fair, and Yoongi doesn’t argue, but he doesn’t let it go without teasing.

“You really like me dirty. Bet you want me whenever you’re at the garage, don’t you?”

Jimin lets out a meep, not being able to truthfully deny it as he palms himself through his tights at Yoongi’s words alone. Jimin doesn’t look at Yoongi as he does.

“Fuck, really? You’re so hot, baby,” Yoongi says lowly before he inches Jimin’s tights down until Jimin lifts his hips and he can pull them all the way off. The counter is cold against his bare ass, but Jimin feels overly warm at the way Yoongi is stroking the muscles in his thighs. Jimin wraps his legs around him to pull him closer.

“Hyung,” Jimin whines, and Yoongi’s hands climb higher, thumbs massaging his inner thighs. Jimin leans forward to kiss him languidly. “I love you,” Jimin says again softly when he pulls back a little. It feels nice to say it and be rewarded with Yoongi’s answering smile.

Yoongi grabs the bottle of lube to pump some into his hand, warming it up in his fingers before he wraps a hand around Jimin’s length. Jimin leans back again, shutting his eyes on a moan as Yoongi strokes him and watches him intently.

Jimin’s eyes shoot open and his hips slip forward on the counter as Yoongi pulls him toward him to hook his knee over his shoulder. Jimin grabs hold of the faucet of the sink for something to hold onto. The position might be painful for someone with less padding around their tail bone, and Jimin isn’t the most comfortable, but that’s mostly because he feels like he’s going to slide off the counter with only half of his ass resting on it.

“I have you, baby. Relax, you’re not going to fall,” Yoongi says, and Jimin gives him a look before he lets go of the faucet. Yoongi pushes Jimin’s other leg open wider.

“Hyung,” Jimin says.

“What? Am I hurting you?” Yoongi asks as he stops contorting him into the position he wants.

“No,” Jimin answers because he’s flexible enough that it doesn’t hurt even a little. “Just, you’re cleaning the counter when we’re done.”

Yoongi chuckles, rubbing his underwear clothed dick against Jimin’s ass before replacing it with slippery fingers that trail down to find his entrance. Suddenly, the state of the counter is no longer the most important thing on Jimin’s mind.

Jimin fists at Yoongi’s shirt, holding him close as he fucks him with his fingers. He moans breathily, and Yoongi hums smugly whenever he arches his back and lifts off the counter to chase the pleasure of Yoongi’s fingers inside him.

“Fuck, hyung, please, I want more,” Jimin begs finally when Yoongi seems content to tease and make him come without anything more.

Yoongi nods, thankfully recognizing that Jimin really doesn’t want to be teased anymore and giving in. Jimin is jostled a little as Yoongi pulls his underwear down to free his dick. He holds tightly to the edge of the counter as he stretches forward to kiss Yoongi, careful not to accidentally remove his hat. Yoongi kisses him back hard even though Jimin can feel him reaching blindly for more lube, not wanting to keep Jimin waiting.

Jimin leans back once more in order to not distract him from his task. Yoongi holds the leg still hooked over his shoulder tightly as he slicks up his thick length. Jimin’s own length is throbbing with how turned on he is before Yoongi presses the head of his cock to his entrance. When Yoongi presses into him with a groan, he grabs his hip to steady him. Jimin pants through the stretch before he can relax around it.

“Hyung, come on,” Jimin cries before swallowing roughly when Yoongi stays still a second too long.

Yoongi huffs at his impatience before rocking into him, pushing and pulling. Jimin is torn between wanting to pull Yoongi closer and holding anything he can to steady himself. His need for stability wins out as he reaches for the faucet again, only to make the dish soap fall loudly into the sink. When Yoongi’s dick thrusts into him deeply, Jimin changes tactics and clutches to the window sill behind him.

“So good, baby,” Yoongi groans, and Jimin feels like he can barely breathe around the quick snap of Yoongi’s hips. Jimin practically gasps as he tries to grind back on everything Yoongi gives him.

Jimin feels himself tensing up, too wound up already. He can’t bring himself to hold it back.

“Touch me, hyung,” Jimin whimpers.

Yoongi moans lowly at that, moving his hand from where he was holding Jimin in place at his hip to wrap around Jimin’s cock. He thumbs over the head as he continues to thrust inside of him, and Jimin hiccups at the feeling. Yoongi strokes him then, setting a swift and unforgiving pace and Jimin can’t choke back the sounds he makes.

Jimin tenses and rides out his orgasm under Yoongi’s rough ministrations. He makes a mess on Yoongi’s hand and on his stomach as he clenches around Yoongi inside of him.

“Fuck, Jimin,” Yoongi says gruffly, pitching forward against him before Jimin relaxes around him a little and Yoongi can resume driving into him. Jimin’s hips shimmy up the counter and he whines as he gets more oversensitive, but Yoongi holds him still when he groans loudly, spilling inside of him.

Yoongi’s chest heaves as he catches his breath before he pulls out carefully. Jimin winces at the sensation, especially when Yoongi lowers his leg from his shoulder and he can feel it sliding out. Jimin gets off the counter then, even though his legs are a little wobbly, rathering it leak down his thighs than onto the counter. Yoongi doesn’t give him much space, though, keeping him pressed against the counter.

Jimin hears the bell on Moonshine’s collar jingle distantly, and Jimin swipes at Yoongi.

“Hyung! Moony is probably scarred for life,” Jimin says and Yoongi chuckles, taking off his backwards hat to push back his sweaty blonde hair before putting it back on.

“Sunshine, I’m sure we’ve subjected her to worse by now,” Yoongi answers. “Now come take a shower with me.”

It’s early afternoon when Jimin is home alone with Moony. He has a rare off day the next day. He’d been excited about it, but Yoongi only grunted sleepy acknowledgement to him when he reminded him about it this morning. He’d been kind of prompting Yoongi into suggesting they do something fun. Jimin likes staying in with him, but he’s grown to appreciate the times they go out. He would have suggested they go out himself, but Yoongi’s response wasn’t exactly encouraging, so Jimin texts Jin instead since he’s always down to do something even when all their other friends are working.

I don’t have work tomorrow, hyung~

Wanna go see a movie tonight then?

It’s not the most fun of their excursions, but Jimin likes seeing movies with Jin since his commentary is usually more enjoyable than the movie itself.

Yeah! :)

He goes to his closet to pull more appropriate clothes to wear to the cinema than the pair of Yoongi’s sweats he’s been lounging in since he got home. He’s just settled on an okay outfit before he gets another text from Jin.

Nvm :( Yoongi says he’s got plans for y’all tonight. Boo

Jimin is confused then because Yoongi didn’t seem excited about his day off, not that it means that much to him since Yoongi still has work, but Yoongi usually shares plans when he makes them. Plus, Jimin can totally convince Yoongi to go in to work late if he wants, and Yoongi usually does if they stay up late anyway.

What? He didn’t tell me anything

O, well he didn’t say anything other than y’all have plans and that I should leave his boyf alone.

Maybe he’s proposing tonight? Hahahah

Jimin actually rolls his eyes before he sends Jin a string of eye rolling emojis.

He wouldn’t do that

Jimin sits down, trying to speculate what the mysterious plans could be. He and Yoongi have only been together officially for like six months now. The thought of a proposal seems outrageous. Plus, Yoongi would never spring that on him. Just then Moony jumps into his lap, startling him. Jimin shakes his head at the ridiculousness of the suggestion.

Want me to ask what the plans are? I can be incognito

Jimin snorts because Jin is not good at being incognito, but he appreciates the offer all the same.

No, I’ll just ask when he gets home from work

Ok, suit yourself, I hear the wedding bells already!

Jimin huffs and contents himself with playing with Moonshine until he hears Yoongi’s keys in the door and the door open. Jimin gets up to go to the front to greet him.

“Hey, hyung,” Jimin says, and Yoongi kisses his lips in a series of pecks.

“Hey, Sweetcheeks,” Yoongi responds with a grin like he does whenever he thinks of an increasingly silly nickname for him. Jimin barely grumbles at them anymore.

“Jin-hyung said you have plans for us?” Jimin asks curiously, not being able to wait for Yoongi to offer up any information over what’s been gnawing at Jimin for the past half an hour.

“Oh, yeah, I thought I’d ask you if you want to come to Daegu with me tonight,” Yoongi says as he bends to stroke a purring Moony that’s rubbing against his legs.

Jimin thinks that’s quite a bit less romantic than a proposal. Yoongi just wants him for free labor to lift boxes.

“Oh, okay,” Jimin says, trying not to seem disappointed. It’s not like he was really expecting Yoongi to propose.

Yoongi laughs. “Sorry, is that less exciting than you were thinking? You don’t have to come if you don’t want to.”

“No! It’s okay, I’ll help with boxes,” Jimin offers quickly because regardless of how long they’ve been together, Jimin likes spending time with Yoongi. It doesn’t really matter what they do.

“Okay, well the truck is loaded already so I thought we could head over now after I change,” Yoongi says, straightening up.

“Already? I would’ve helped, hyung,” Jimin says, confused. Yoongi usually goes much later than this.

“Mm, it was quicker this way. Plus, I thought we could make it over to Daegu in time for dinner,” Yoongi says pointedly, and Jimin pauses, eyes widening at Yoongi.

“Wait, you mean... at your parent’s restaurant?” Jimin asks nervously because that’s what it sounds like Yoongi means.

“Yeah,” Yoongi says hesitantly, drawing out the word. “They want to meet you.”

“Oh.”

“Oh? Good oh or bad oh? I can’t read your mind, Sunshine.” Yoongi breathes a laugh, but Jimin is internally quivering in fear.

“I just, wasn’t expecting that. I mean, I figured they knew about me, but I-I don’t know. I didn’t think they’d want to meet me, especially since you probably told them about me before we got together,” Jimin says, wringing his hands nervously. Of course Yoongi’s parents know about him, Yoongi has a close relationship with them, unlike Jimin’s relationship with his own parents. That doesn’t change the fact that Jimin leaves the room to ‘give him privacy’ when he’s on the phone with them, feeling uncomfortable listening in, or the fact that Jimin finds something to do every time Yoongi goes to Daegu to meet them.

“Jimin-ah, calm down, I’m not going to force you if you don’t want to, but they keep asking after you on the phone and I don’t know, I mean, you live here, we have Moony together. I kind of figured it was time,” Yoongi says, and Jimin knows he makes several good points.

Jimin whines because he really doesn’t want to meet Yoongi’s parents, mostly because he’s scared they’ll hate him, but he also doesn’t have a good track record with his own parents and he can’t help but feel like Yoongi’s parents will see him the way that they do. He doesn’t know which outcome he’d hate more: them outright hating him or them just preferring he didn’t exist so they don’t have to deal with him.

Yoongi is looking at him expectantly, and Jimin knows Yoongi is close to his family and he wants the people he loves to get along which isn’t asking a lot. Yoongi has been patient with him and Jimin has to repay the courtesy. More than anything, he wants to make Yoongi happy.

Besides, he thinks, trying to pep himself up, he might be nervous, but he knows how to be civil, even with people who aren’t his biggest fans. Plus, Yoongi probably already told his parents they were coming, and Jimin will look flakey on top of whatever poor impression they already have of him if he doesn’t show up.

“Okay,” Jimin pets Moony as he says it, not looking at Yoongi, and Yoongi tilts his chin up to kiss him.

“Thank you, it won’t be so bad, and I’ll make it up to you, okay? We can get ice cream before we come back, and I won’t say anything about your boring vanilla,” Yoongi says, grinning happily. Jimin tries to return the smile, but it probably comes off as a nervous grimace.

Jimin is nervous throughout the whole car ride. He knows he’s fidgeting, and Yoongi keeps sending him looks but he can’t help it. He feels like this is where their relationship will crash and burn, but it’s been going so well, and Jimin really doesn’t want it to.

“Sunshine,” Yoongi says finally when they’ve made it to Daegu and they’re close. “They’re not going to dislike you if that’s what you’re worried about.”

“Hyung, how can you know that?” Jimin asks.

“Because I know them. Besides, even if they did, they’re not going to be rude to you, so you can stop being so nervous,” Yoongi says comfortingly, squeezing Jimin’s thigh.

“I want them to like me, hyung, and I know it’s important to you,” Jimin admits after a beat of silence. Yoongi doesn’t seem as worried as he is though, and he smiles at him.

“I want them to like you, too, Jimin-ah, but I love you, okay? I want to be with you. There is nothing they can say that would change that.”

Jimin nods, relaxing a little at that as they turn into park at the restaurant which seems decently packed. He hopes, childishly and only for a second, that it means Yoongi’s parents will be too busy to see them. Jimin remembers then that they have to bring all the boxes to the back and he’s not going to get out of this.

When they get out of the truck, Yoongi squeezes the back of his neck.

“Relax,” Yoongi chuckles. “You look like Moony with a hunch back when she’s scared.”

“I do not!” Jimin grumbles, and Yoongi continues to laugh as he opens the bed of his truck to start unloading the boxes.

Jimin allows himself to be distracted with the task of unloading the boxes and then when that’s done, organizing the stuff in the boxes following Yoongi’s instructions. Jimin wonders if Yoongi always unpacks the boxes or if he’s just trying to distract him because they definitely didn’t do this the first and only time Jimin helped Yoongi move boxes. They’re mostly alone in the storage room, and any time someone comes in to grab something, Jimin tenses up. Yoongi finally just laughs at him.

“I’m not related to anyone who has come in here, Sunshine,” Yoongi says and Jimin glares at him.

It’s late by the time they finish goofing off in the storage room, and the restaurant is much more empty when they go sit at a table. Jimin only takes comfort in the fact that Yoongi doesn’t seem nervous at all.

“Yoongi-yah! Did you sneak in through the back? I didn’t see you come in.”

Jimin turns to see a pretty middle aged woman approach the table before he turns back to Yoongi.

“We had boxes, eomma,” Yoongi explains before he gestures to Jimin. “This is Jimin.”

Jimin scrambles to stand up to greet her properly, but she just sets a hand on his shoulder to stop him. Maybe he’s imagining it, but her grip feels extra strong on his shoulder. Jimin looks up at her and tries to smile warmly.

“Jimin, huh? Yoongi-yah, honey, he’s even more adorable than you described him,” she says and Jimin relaxes a bit at that, flushing at the compliment. Yoongi just smirks at him. “What can I get you two to drink? Your father is still working the back, but he said he’ll come out when he’s done.”

“Just water, please,” Jimin says, and she nods, not even waiting for Yoongi to answer before she walks off.

“Hyung, how much have you told her about me?” Jimin asks, and Yoongi shrugs.

“Enough,” he says. “She likes you already, so will you calm down?”

“What? How could she possibly? Hyung, she squeezed my shoulder hard,” Jimin points out in a whisper.

“That’s because she was trying not to laugh, and probably preventing you from tripping over your own feet. You know for a dancer, you’re pretty clumsy, Sunshine. She’s not going to flay you, especially if you continue to look so nervous.”

“I am not clumsy, hyung!” Jimin says, flushing. “And I can’t help it.”

Yoongi snorts before his mother comes back with his father in tow, carrying water. They sit down before Jimin tries to stand to greet Yoongi’s father as Yoongi makes introductions. Jimin is grateful to have the glass in his hands for something to do other than just fidgeting. Yoongi is taking a large gulp of water when his mother speaks next.

“So Jimin-ah, Yoongi has been singing your praise for the past year and has weaseled out of bringing you over every time we ask. Is he finally introducing you in time for the wedding?”

Yoongi chokes, and coughs loudly, turning red. His father slaps him on the back helpfully.

“Eomma!”

“I think it’s a little early for that,” Jimin says, laughing sweetly at Yoongi’s reaction.

“Well, I’m just saying! And don’t act so surprised, Yoongi-yah, a few weeks ago you told me you wanted to buy a house with him,” she tattles and Jimin raises his eyebrows at Yoongi in surprise because it’s the first he’s hearing of that. Yoongi only flushes slightly. “You took your sweet time introducing him, what am I supposed to think?” she asks.

“Thanks, I hadn’t brought that up yet, eomma, and you could just think that we hadn’t gotten around to it yet,” Yoongi grumbles and she rolls her eyes.

“Yeah, right, and you haven’t met his parents, yet?” she asks in disbelief.

Jimin tenses at the mention of his parents, not wanting Yoongi’s parents to think he has something wrong with him for him to not be close with them. He doesn’t really want to get into it.

“No, actually, I haven’t. They aren’t supportive of him, and they aren’t close,” Yoongi says simply, so Jimin doesn’t have to explain.

“Oh?” she says, furrowing her eyebrows and pursing her lips in a pout in the same way Yoongi does sometimes. “Well you’re always welcome here, Jimin-ah.” She squeezes his shoulder and gives him a warm smile.

Jimin feels his eyes get hot as he nods and prays he doesn’t cry. “Thank you,” he says softly and when Yoongi reaches over the table with his palm up in invitation, Jimin grabs it, glad for it. Yoongi squeezes his hand and shakes it a little.

“It’s okay, Sunshine,” he says and Jimin nods, taking a deep breath and pulling himself together. Jimin smiles at them.

“So, Jimin, what do you like to eat?” Yoongi’s dad asks.
