Kissing In Cars

Chapter 37

Notes:

The last chapter!!

This should've been up much sooner, but it's up now! I had gotten about half of the chapter done before being hit with writers block for about two weeks for all my works, except for when writing fanfic for an older TV show that I love (Big Wolf on Campus), so I had started writing as much fanfic for that as I could - although I've not posted any of it yet except for a short little one-shot. I also downloaded that South Park Phone Destroyer game on my phone, so playing that has taken up time I could've used for writing.

Anyway, the last chapter is now up, and I hope you all enjoy!

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

"Daddy!" Taissa and Emma yell, as they run down the hall towards their father, Laura following behind them carrying Sabrina in her arms.

Chris smiles as soon as he sees them. He had called Laura last night about the news, and she agreed to watch them for the night and bring them in the next morning to see their mother and new baby brothers.

He was a little worried about how the girls would be staying the night at Laura's, especially as she still lives with her parents for the time being, and because their house is already packed with kids, the youngest being around seven months (Chris thinks). But everything seemed to have been alright.

"Hey, girls!" He says, kneeling down to hug his girls. "You want to see mommy and your little brothers?"

"Yes!" Both Taissa and Emma say.

"Well go on then." Chris says, getting up. "But remember to be quiet, and don't scare your brothers, okay?"

"Okay!" The girls say, before making their way into the room.

Chris watches them go before turning back to Laura. "Thank you so much for watching them, Laura." He says. "I'm not sure what we would have done without you."

He's definitely going to have to pay her more than usual this time for watching them for the night at such short notice. Even if she tries to refuse the raise.

Laura smiles, handing Sabrina over to Chris as she makes grabby hands towards her father. "It's no problem, Chris." She assures him. "They're great girls, and it's always a joy to be able to look after them for you and Seb." She says. "And to tell ya the truth, I think mom enjoyed having three extra kids in the house too."

"It wasn't too hard on him, was it?" Chris asks. "I kinda feel bad for how short notice this all was."

That's what he was most worried about, that having three extra kids in the house might be a bit rough on Laura's mother, Bucky. He and Steve already have all their kids living in their house still except for their oldest son, Nathaniel, and they've also got one of their daughter, Harvey's son in the house as well. It's just a good thing that their house is big enough for the lot of them.

Laura shakes her head. "Nah. He used to be an elementary school teacher. He could handle it." She says. "Well, he was a substitute teacher. He was planning on going back, but then Juliet came along."

Chris nods, glad that it was all fine on Bucky to have three extra kids in the house. Though he wasn't aware that Bucky used to be an elementary school substitute teacher. At least that means he can handle watching a lot of kids.

"So how's Sebastian?" Laura asks.

"Seb's alright." Chris says. "Tired and sore mostly, but he'll be okay."

Of course Sebastian's going to be okay. He always is. Though he'll no doubt get little sleep in the coming months - they both will really - but he'll live.

"Want mama!" Sabrina whines, pointing off towards the door to Sebastian's hospital room Taissa and Emma had ran into.

Chris smiles at her. "You want to see mommy, Bina?"

Sabrina nods, wriggling in Chris's hold as she continues to point off towards Sebastian's hospital room. And as soon as Chris walks into the hospital room with Laura following behind him, Sabrina makes grabby hands towards Sebastian as soon as she sees him.

Chris takes her over towards Sebastian, and sets her down on the bed as Sebastian motions for him to do so.

"Chris, your mom just called." Sebastian says. "She said that she and your father will be here soon. No word from your sisters or Scott yet though, but I'd expect it won't be long until we hear from them."

"Alright." Chris nods, looking over towards the twins bassinets where Taissa and Emma are standing with their grandmother. Both twins appear to be asleep.

And as he looks over towards the small couch-type seat under the window on one side of the room, it looks like Anthony is asleep too. Chris debates waking him, but decides against it. He'll just leave him sleep for now.

"They're both gorgeous." Laura says, and she stands over by the bassinets. "What are their names?"

"The smaller one is Malcolm, and the other is Jack." Sebastian says from where he's still seated in the hospital bed with Sabrina clinging to his side.

They had come to the decision that the smaller boy - the omega - would be named Malcolm Tobias Evans, and the bigger boy - the alpha - would be named Jack Rowan Evans.

"Sabrina, you want to see your baby brothers?" Sebastian asks, as he looks down s Sabrina who's found her way onto his lap.

Sabrina shakes her head. "No!" She says. "Don't want to."

Sebastian sighs, brushing Sabrina's hair out of her face as she leans into him. He had a feeling that she wouldn't want to. It appears she's still not impressed with the idea of two new babies in the family, and they can only hope that she'll get used to the idea in time.

"You sure you don't want to?" He asks. "You sure you don't want to see your little baby brothers?"

Sabrina shakes her head, pouting as she stares down at the bed sheets. "Don't wanna!"

Chris sits down on the edge of the bed. "Come on, Bina." He says. "Come see your new brothers, Jack and Malcolm."

Unfortunately to both Chris and Sebastian's disappointment, Sabrina doesn't budge. Instead, she stays right next to Sebastian, refusing to leave her mother's side. Her disinterest in her new baby brothers clear.

They were worried that Sabrina would have this reaction, considering the fact that she was never on board with new siblings from the moment they told her and her older sisters about the pregnancy. All they can do now is hope that within time she'll grow used to the idea of having two new siblings.

They're just glad that Taissa and Emma are excited about the twins.

"Don't want babies." Sabrina says. "Babies bad!"

Sebastian sighs, wrapping an arm around her. "Okay. You don't have to see them just yet." He says, before looking up at Chris, then back down at Sabrina. "But you're a big sister now just like Taissa and Emma, and you'll have to see your baby brothers soon, and be a good big sister to them when they're older. You think you can do that?"

He finds himself okay with Sabrina not wanting to see her little brothers just yet, but he would very much like her to see them soon. He finds himself hoping that as soon as she sees them that she'll change her mind about her feelings towards them, but that might just be wishful thinking.

Either way, Sebastian's just gonna keep on hoping it'll happen.

Sabrina shakes her head. "No. Don't wanna."

Sighing, Sebastian looks up at Chris. Not only is it very likely that the upcoming months are going to be tough now that the twins are born, and they're going to get barely any sleep, it seems it's going to be a bit more difficult than they had hoped due to Sabrina's attitude towards the twins.

But in the end, they're sure they'll figure it out and get through it all... after they get through a few bumps in the road of course.

******

"The twins finally asleep?" Chris asks, as Sebastian makes his way into their bedroom, collapsing down onto the bed on his stomach.

Sebastian hums in response, moving around on the bed until he's leaning up against Chris. He's exhausted and all he wants to do right now is sleep. Unfortunately he needed to attend to the twins who had woken up crying in the middle of the night, while Chris had to go get the girls back to sleep.

It's been a month since the twins were born, and everything in the Evans' house has been hectic. But it's also been wonderful now that their little boys are finally here.

Although Sabrina is still a little upset at the idea she's no longer the baby of the house, but she hasn't been quite as troublesome as they had expected. It seems she's grown used to having the twins around - much sooner than they thought she would - to which they're glad about.

Though that doesn't mean there hasn't been any trouble....

Taissa and Emma on the other hand have both been as helpful as they possibly can - which Chris and Sebastian are very glad about.

But the twins have still kept the whole house up every night, and they all can't wait until they start sleeping through the whole night. Unfortunately that's likely going to be a while yet until that can happen.

"Jack was easy enough to get back to sleep." Sebastian says. "But Malcolm was being difficult. I had to walk him up and down the hallway until he fell back to sleep."

Unfortunately out of the twins it's a bit more difficult to get Malcolm back to sleep most of the time, and he's usually the first one to wake, resulting in his brother waking up too. Luckily Jack is fairly easy to get back to sleep most nights.

"Dodger and Nala have taken up sleeping in the twins room now." He adds. "I think they're trying to be helpful and keep an eye on them."

Chris laughs a little. "At least Dodger and Nala are being more helpful than the other two." He says. "We gotta reward them with some new toys or treats for that."

Unsurprisingly both Muffy and Sooty have been keeping out of the way now that the twins are here. The both of them becoming almost exclusively outside cats to keep away from all the noise. Mostly hiding away in the back garden, as they don't tend to venture out of the safety of the backyard.

Then Nala has often times come running to the twins along with Dodger when one or both start crying, like they're trying to see what's wrong and help to calm them down.

"Well you can stop off at the pet store tomorrow and get them something after you've bought more diapers from the store." Sebastian says.

They knew that they'd go through a lot of diapers, but with twins, they've been going through twice as much. Which means they need to buy twice as many as they had done previously with the girls. But then they've still got to buy them for Sabrina as well, but she's been slowly going off them and onto pull-ups as they've been potty training her.

"Chris?" Sebastian says after a moments silence. "I know I've said before that I want a lot of kids, but I think I'm done for now."

Chris wraps an arm around Sebastian, pulling him closer. "You sure?" He asks. "You absolutely sure that five are enough?"

"Yeah." Sebastian nods. "Well, I think I'm done having children, but... I'm still open for adoption." He looks up at Chris as he goes quiet. "We don't have to make any final decisions about it just yet, of course." He says. "But when the kids are a bit older - and if we decide we want more - I was thinking we could adopt."

They've talked about adoption briefly before, but they hadn't decided on any final decisions on the topic of adoption. But Sebastian is definitely all for it. Chris on the other hand finds himself a little unsure still. Mostly because of the long wait and all the money that'll go into it, not that he just straight up doesn't want to adopt.

"We'll figure it out once the kids are a bit older." Chris says. "I'm not making any decisions yet. Especially not when it's only been a month since you had the twins. It's much too early to be thinking about having more kids."

Sebastian nods, resting his head on Chris's chest. "Like I said, we don't need to make any decisions just yet."

And Chris finds himself glad that they don't have to make any decisions about it just yet. It's too early to be making those types of decisions. They've got plenty of time from now to figure out what they're going to do.

For now, they're happy with the kids that they've got. They're happy with their three wonderful girls, and their two equally wonderful little boys. And they'd never trade them for anything.

"Go to sleep, Seb." Chris says, kissing the top of Sebastian's head. "You need it. If the twins wake again, I'll go attend to them."

Sebastian smiles to himself, grateful for the fact that Chris will go attend to the twins if they wake up again - and it's entirely likely that they will wake up again in a few hours. He just hopes it doesn't cause the girls to wake up again too....

"That sounds great, Chris." He says. "Goodnight."

Chris smiles, rubbing a hand up and down Sebastian's side soothingly. "Goodnight, Sebastian."

And just as they had thought, the twins wake up crying again a few hours later, and Chris goes to attend to them just as he promised he would. Leaving Sebastian to get as much sleep as he can until morning.

Although, it only takes about ten minutes after the twins had woken up crying for Sebastian to make his way out of bed to help Chris with them.

He just can't leave Chris to tend to both of them by himself after all.

To be continued...
In a one-shots compilation book titled Little Things

Notes:

This isn't the end quite yet. Like I've mentioned on a couple previous chapters, i intend on posting up a one-shots compilation book titled Little Things that'll have one-shots in this verse. Not sure when it'll be up, but keep an eye out for it! Also, once I go to post it you guys can request ideas for one-shots to be included.

Also, I'm debating on maybe writing a little Stucky spin off to this at some point. Not sure if it will happen yet, but you never know.

Anyway, thank you to all those who read this story!!!
