Sammy stares at herself in the mirror, and suddenly the floodgates open. She’s cried a lot since Brooklynn died, but she hasn’t broken down like this since the funeral. Her chest heaves as sobs wrack her body, tears streaming down her face.

Nat’s never even been to church. Not once. She knows a thing or two about human sexuality, though, and she’s guessing a random social science elective can’t be that hard, right? Turns out it's harder than you'd think when your professor looks like that and makes you want to do all kinds of unholy things.
