Summary
This is it. This is senior year unfolding in front of him with every breath he takes and there"s nothing he can do to slow it down, no matter how deep he digs his nails in.
In nine short months, Nursey is going to graduate and stumble into his post-college, adult life with a degree and no real plan of what’s next or where he’ll end up living. He knows his moms would love it if he moved back to the City, but he’s fallen in love with Boston to the point that the clear-cut definition of the City that he came here with has started to blur.
Maybe he"ll never taste Dex"s—or Bitty"s, he supposes—baking again or wince at Chowder’s random, painful-looking splits or fine Farmer and him for some insanely saccharine PDA. For all he knows, come graduation, he"ll lose sight of the rest of the Frogs and it"ll be just him wherever the fuck he ends up.
The universe seems to hear him—the back door cracks open, through his thoughts that threaten to spiral again, and then it"s Dex’s voice saying, "Hey, Nurse."
Or, the one in which Nursey fears the end of senior year before it"s even begun and Dex knows just the way to make it better.

Summary
Dex breaks their kiss with a shuddering breath and digs his hand out of the back of Nursey’s shirt so he can pull at the chest of it. “Can this come off?”
Nursey throws him one of his cocky grins, but the effect is shattered by the absolute adoration in his eyes. “I don’t know,” he teases, “can it?”
“Don’t be a fucking smartass,” Dex throws back with a roll of his eyes.
Nursey laughs warmly as he sits up and makes quick work of his shirt and Dex allows himself to look at the way his stomach rises and falls with every breath he takes, at the soft brown skin spanning over his stomach and chest, at the intricate tattoo on his biceps, at the dip of his collarbone that Dex knows the taste of, at the spots on his neck that drive Nursey crazy.
“Like what you see?” Nursey asks as he lies back down on his side, propping his head up on one of his hands. All Dex manages in response right now is a nod. “Good.” Nursey smiles and chucks his balled up shirt at Dex’s face. “Yours too, c’mon.”
Or, the one in which Nursey and Dex get the Haus all to themselves, spend their morning in a very fun way, and Dex has a pretty big realization.

Summary
Nursey regards him for a moment, searching his face for any little giveaway, then cracks a grin. “You’re superstitious,” he declares, amused.
“What?” Dex repeats, “no! I’m definitely not superstitious. Where the hell did you get that?”
“You so are,” Nursey says, full of glee, and his grin only widens when he spots the telltale flush crawling up Dex’s neck all the way to his cheeks. It nearly drowns out Dex’s freckles.
“Am not!”
“Are too.”
Dex folds his arms in front of his chest, you know, like a petulant child. “Am not!”
Nursey snickers. “What other superstitions do you have? C’mon, you can tell me.”
Or, five times Dex chooses Nursey and one time Nursey chooses Dex.

Summary
"You miss me that much, Dex?" Nursey asks, aiming for teasing and mostly succeeding. Probably.
Dex shrugs as his smile takes a nervous edge and a flush drowns out his freckles. “Yeah,” he admits casually, like it doesn’t almost knock Nursey on his ass.
“Chill, I missed you too,” Nursey says, and Dex looks relieved.
"Hey, Nursey," Dex starts, his mouth pulling back into the confident thing from earlier, "do you have a sunburn or are you always this hot?"
It’s so unexpected that Nursey can’t help but burst out laughing right there on the sidewalk. One of the worst pick up lines he’s ever heard in his entire life and it came right out of Dex"s mouth.
"That was terrible. Is that all you got?" Nursey pokes Dex"s red shoulder and Dex inhales sharply. "Besides, it looks like you"re the one with the sunburn. Hashtag lobster."
Or, five times Dex uses a terrible pick up line on Nursey and one time he doesn"t.

Summary
Within half a second, Dex is wide awake.
He pats Nursey’s shoulder a few times where his hand can reach it. “Nurse, wake up.” Nursey just grumbles and burrows deeper into Dex’s chest. “Nursey, you have to wake up, this is important.”
Nursey makes another unwilling noise. “What could be so important at, like, seven in the morning?"
“It’s ten,” Dex corrects, “and the team knows. About us.”
That gets Nursey to lift his head and look at Dex, a confused frown pulling at his eyebrows. “What? How?”
Or, seven times Nursey and Dex"s kisses end up in pictures, and one time they don"t.

And he thinks Nursey might kiss him. Or pull him closer. Or, really, anything other than say what slips out of Nursey’s mouth.
“Marry me already.”
Dex freezes. “Um. What.”
The dazed look stays on Nursey’s face for a couple seconds before his eyes widen and his face drops like he doesn"t know where that came from.
“Wait, no, I don"t mean like—! I didn"t mean to say that out loud. Not that I was thinking it, obvs. It just—” he cuts himself off as he sees the look on Dex"s face and groans. “Don’t.”
Dex slaps a hand to his own mouth but it isn"t enough to stop the laugh that escapes him.
Nursey whines, covering his face. “Oh my god.”

Summary
It’s senior year and Derek’s half in love with him.
The thing is, he shouldn’t be surprised by this— not when he really thinks about it. His heart always had a home on his sleeve; a byproduct of sorts, from falling a little bit in love with anyone he’s ever met.
Maybe it’s the poet in him, or maybe it’s the optimist, but each time it happens it feels like it’s the one.
With Dex it was different.
(Alternatively summarized as what happens when I listen to Supercut by Lorde and have an emotional breakdown.)
