Summary
A headcanon of Shakespeare's Othello, in which Iago didn't create a mess over Desdemona, but only out of jealousy regarding Cassio. There is also something else on his mind, a feeling that seems unnatural and he's unable to describe, but it's...not hate? Him and Emilia don't have the best relationship and Emilia is starting to feel fed up with it.
Othello and Desdemona are in love and are doing their best to get every issue out of their way. Though, they don't feel that spark and Othello feels more idolized than loved, while Desdemona develops new emotions.The story is modernized, characters included and the plot is overall different. The writing style is slightly inspired by the original creator's.
Please expect slang, informalities from the narrator, more detailed character descriptions and outfits from the current era.(If you see any grammar issues, you can dm me on my discord @gartweb)
