Henry hummed, seeing his martini get placed in front of him as he reached out and held it up, “Cheers to a good night.” Alex lifted up his second beer bottle, as they touched glasses, taking a sip as their eyes stayed onto one another. The tension surrounding the both of them was intoxicating. He could feel the alcohol running down his throat, trying to ignore the ever growing bulge between his legs. It was so, painfully hard.

Just as Henry was about to speak up, he noticed a body in the distance. Perched up against one of the large linden trees, face being completely covered by the darkness of the clouds up above. Still blocking the morning sunlight from peeking in just yet. “Who are you?” Henry asks, never once not moving from the blanket still spread out underneath him.
The man in the distance smiles, taking a few steps forward as Henry waits eagerly. Wanting to get a look at the man (or creatures) face desperately. His poor little heart thumping inside his chest.

Summary
The fucked up part about this situation is that the jealousy that’s made its home in Henry’s stomach, burning like hot coals and stoked with every wheeze of Connor’s laughter, isn’t even directed at the right person.
Henry would be forgiven, perhaps even expected, to be upset about Alex monopolizing all of his boyfriend’s attention. Instead, he finds himself willing those warm brown eyes to turn their undivided attention to him, to ask him how his day went and laugh with him about one of their inside jokes. Sitting here next to Connor, a line of burning heat where their thighs are pressed against each other, the fingers of their hands tangled together, Henry feels like the worst kind of fraud.
OR: Alex never likes any of Henry"s boyfriends, until he does. Henry isn"t sure how to feel about it.
