Summary

Summary

“Who are you?” Yeonjun asked, voice dripping with hatred. “Is your power shapeshifting? I know you’re not Soobin, so you can drop the façade.”
When Yeonjun took a step closer, probably to intimidate Soobin, he decided to speak up. “You’re wrong. I really am Soobin.” Yeonjun gave a snort of disgust, but Soobin kept going. “They- they did something to me. I know I’m Soobin – I’m Choi Soobin, 23 years old, born in Ansan. But… that’s all I know. I don’t remember anything else.”
Yeonjun just stared at him. It took nearly fifteen seconds before he answered. “I don’t believe you.”

Soobin wakes up alone, tied to a table, only to find his memories about anything except his own identity gone. When a group of four guys come to rescue him, he follows them blindly, hoping to get some answers. What he finds is a family of friends he has no recollection of, and a desperate need to remember them. “Binnie, listen to what I have to say, okay?” Yeonjun softly asked, waiting until Soobin nodded against his chest. His heart was breaking to see their leader like this. He closed his eyes and steadied himself.
“According to the doctors, a similar situation has occurred before. It was not our fault. It's just how humanity is. Hyung is sorry, I should have noticed I wasn't feeling well. If it's anyone's fault, it would be mine, Soobin-ah. Don't blame yourself.” Yeonjun softly explained, warm words washing over Soobin. Soobin cried more, his hands clenching onto Yeonjun's hospital gown.
Soobin's voice broke as he choked out his next words, as though the words themselves tore his throat as he spoke them, “I raped y–”
Or: Soobin and Yeonjun accidentally mate, changing their relationship forever. Yet, unbeknownst to them and everyone around them, their relationship continues to change as time slowly ticks on.

All idols wear soulbands around their wrists to hide their soulmate’s name: as idols there’s an expectation to be single and appear forever-attainable so that their fans can wonder what name is written on their wrist and believe that there’s a chance it could be their own.
Soobin gave up on a future with a soulmate when he became an idol. He never expected to get a soulmark — and then he did.
