Summary
“Do you want to fool around a little?”
Kazutora was no stranger to hooking up with Baji. Even if they both insisted they weren’t together, they might as well have been. They weren’t really seeing other people, unless Baji was suddenly exceptional at hiding things from Kazutora, and they were almost always together. It was a mistake to let them work together.
A smile lifted the corners of Kazutora’s lips. “Shouldn’t one of us be watching the front?” There was a bell for when someone walked in, but that didn’t mean it would always work and even if it did, there was no certainty that they would be able to hear it if they were otherwise preoccupied. Kazutora didn’t want Chifuyu to be mad at him. But on the other hand, it was hard to really say no to Baji. Plus he didn’t want to.
But even so it was fun to tease. Baji rolled his eyes in response and then shrugged it off. “Guess we’ll just be boring and keep working then.”

Summary
Baji placed his hands in his face in front of his meal. He stayed like that for a while and Kazutora watched, a little doe-eyed as he tried to process what was going on with his friend. He seemed a little out of sorts. Eventually, Baji removed his hands and then looked over at Kazutora. “This is so stupid. I’m never listening to Fuyu again.” He sighed. Baji then continued before Kazutora could inquire about what Chifuyu had done so wrong that had Baji so irritated. “Really told me to tell you at the wedding like it was the most romantic idea. He practically had hearts in his eyes,” he frowned. Kazutora was having a lot of trouble picking up whatever Baji was trying to put down.
Then his eyes widened, mouth slightly agape. “Wait, are you dating Chifuyu?”

Summary
When he arrived, he was buzzed in which Inui felt was both coincidental and strange at the same time. It wasn’t as though anyone was expecting him, but he supposed they could’ve mistook him for a delivery or someone else, at the very least. The elevator ride was smooth, the doors were a shiny silver while the other side was a window, allowing for Inui to look out at his surroundings. He leaned against the thin metal banister as each floor dinged before finally stopping at his intended destination.
It wasn’t until he knocked on the door and realized it was ajar that Inui started to feel as though he had made a mistake. Maybe it was stupidity, perhaps it was a need to be right, but Inui opened the door. He was halfway into the well-lit room when he heard the door close behind him. When Inui turned, he was faced with the same pink-haired man. This time, though, he had a mask and a katana. For some reason, that unlocked a memory, and soon, Inui spoke into the silence that hung between them, “Sanzu?”

Summary
“I wouldn’t do that, Kenny,” a voice pierced the silence.
He froze as he heard Mikey’s voice. It almost sounded playful in tone, but he knew that these days, his old friend was as playful with him as a feral cat tormenting a dying mouse.Draken remained where he was, frozen. He decided to wait, to see if Mikey had a way he wanted this to play out. But he wasn’t so foolish to think that this interaction was going to end with both of them walking out of it alive. Things had crumbled in the way the Roman empire had fallen. What was left of Mikey was a ghost and it insisted on haunting him until all that was left of Draken was any grief he left behind.
“Are you going to look at me?” His voice was firmer now. Draken did turn then, but stood straight, waiting for what Mikey wanted. Draken saw the glint of the blade before he saw the darkness of Mikey’s eyes staring back at him. “I grew out my hair,” he told him.

“It’s the thirteenth,” Draken had said as Inui placed his cigarette into Draken’s mouth. They always were confused for people in love, but in reality, they were both so bone-achingly lonely after their combined losses that they really had become something that resembled codependent in a way that played tug-o-war with familial and platonic at the same time. They went to most places together, they lived together. If they weren’t texting, they were probably on the phone and if they weren’t, it was because they were in the same room. They were brothers, but they were also just two people that had seen each other at their worst and remained despite it. Maybe that was what love was. “That’s a thing in America, right?”
Inui blinked as he watched Draken inhale and then turn slightly to blow the smoke out, away from Inui’s face. “What is?”
“Friday the 13th,” Mitsuya sighed. “I know where this is going.”
