He held the mug with both hands as he brought it closer, tipping it to drink from it and—
He immediately spit it out.
“Bleh!” He stuck his tongue out at the drink like it had offended him personally. Which it just had.
It was very, very bitter.
And did not taste like hot chocolate. At all.
Now he was very tempted to call over the new hire to demand a different one, yet… He really needed an energy boost right now. Like, right, right now.
And if it looked similar enough to hot chocolate, it’d probably give him the same amount of energy that a hot chocolate sugar rush gave him, right? Maybe? Possibly?
Well, whatever this mystery drink was, he hopes it gives him enough energy to at least make it through the next hour. By then, he could hopefully get someone’s attention to get him some actual hot chocolate.
Just an hour. Enough energy to last him an hour. He’s sure that could happen.
Or: a new hire accidentally mixes up drink orders when they are in a rush, which results in Ranpo getting access to coffee/caffeine. Oh dear…
