“It’s not greedy to get what you deserve, what you’re entitled to,” Sirius added, his blue stare still on Remus.Remus used to be in a famous band (Nemesïs) with Marlene and Snape, but after everything went south and Snape died, the guilt pushed Remus to run away. In his new place, away from all the trouble and family issues, he met Regulus— who had also just run away from his abusive household— and started living and working together in a café. Two years passed by, and he met Reg’s brother, who was 100% straight and looking for a lead guitarist for his band. Then shit happens.

Remus tried to stop himself from looking up but it was fruitless.
While the rational part of his brain told him that Sirius wasn’t going to be there, he still felt the need to check.
After eight years Remus still had to fight down the urge to look for Sirius in every room he walked into.
Or,
Remus Lupin and Sirius Black broke up before going to college in different states. When Remus moves back to his hometown eight years later, he runs into Sirius and realizes that, maybe, time and distance haven’t ruined things forever.
