Summary
“And please, please, please don’t freak out or change your mind when I tell you very quickly before you do that that you are wearing your butt-dialing pants.”
“My… what?”
“Those pants. They’re the ones that call me when you put your phone in the pocket. And you did. Put your phone in your pocket. When you were talking to your sister. Just now.”
Eddie’s eyes flood with understanding, then, immediately, with horror. He slaps a hand over his mouth.
“Oh my god.”
Or, Eddie’s pants are sick of the pining. They take action. They call Buck.

Summary
Eddie tilts his head. “Why are you being so weird, Buck?”
It’s funny to Buck that Eddie has to ask; one finds out his ridiculously hot best friend is now also sleeping with men, one begins thinking about sleeping with said ridiculously hot best friend. It just makes sense, right? So it almost offends him, a little bit, that Eddie is the picture of cool right now. Has seeing Buck in such a deliberately sexual context not altered Eddie’s brain chemistry, too? Does Buck need to update his Grindr profile?
or,
Buck catches Eddie on Grindr and now he can't stop thinking about it.

Summary
“I don’t know why you’re even here!” Eddie yells, voice just as loud, ringing—echoing in the nothingness of the once-home. “Just go back, okay?!” he adds, volume staying the same, stability rapidly decreasing, his eyes welling up in the moonlight pouring in through the window. “Alright? To her, or him, or both—and I’ll call you from the road, and I’ll say goodbye, and I’ll be back in El Paso, and…” If Eddie has more to say, it’s swallowed by the rapid way in which he’s breathing as he sinks back against the kitchen counter, the anger melting off of Buck’s shoulders as he carefully starts to approach him.

Summary
“I’m not saying that he’s bitchy because he’s gay, I’m saying he’s bitchy,” Eddie retorts. “Like his soul is bitchy. He just also happens to be gay — it’s unrelated. I don’t think you should go. I don’t like him.”
Or, Buck goes on a date with Josh. It's the worst day of Eddie's life.
