“Work on it tomorrow,” Alhaitham says, deadpan despite it being more of a suggestion. “Don’t your wrists hurt? You’ve been there for hours now. You need to stretch your legs. It’s important to stretch to keep from—”
“Alright,” Kaveh gives in, defeated at last. “Fine. I’ll…” He trails off, lips parted and his head tilting slowly to the side with that distant look in his eye he always has when he gets an idea—a good idea.
“How about this?” he suggests, a half-smile half-smirk crawling its way onto his face. “You turn that thing back on. You can mess with it however you like. When I can’t take it anymore, I’ll stop working.”

Summary
Kaveh knows that throughout the last couple weeks, he’s heard things. He’s seen them move from place to place, drifting aimlessly in the air. He’s seen things collapse to the floor with no explanation. He’s been wandering around, seeking out inspiration—anything to take his mind off things—and felt his house suddenly grow cold.
He has been sitting on the divan, hands shaking without any idea what he can do, when a presence creeps up behind him. His hair stands on end as it approaches and whispers right next to his ear: “Kaveh.”
Now, he’s determined to get rid of this—whatever creature is creeping around his house at night, preventing him from getting any rest, and filling his heart with terror. Kaveh is going to exorcise it. After all, he’d read a few texts in the House of Daena. How hard could this be, really?
Kaveh tries to exorcise a ghost. It goes badly.

Summary
Kaveh gets lost in the desert. Unfortunately, Alhaitham is always there when he least wants to see him.
Kaveh can see the glint of a temple not too far away, standing out against the pale yellows of the desert. If it’s this close to a town, he’s sure it’s been plucked clean of all value by Treasure Hoarders and, therefore, a perfect spot to simply wait out the storm in.
He can see the colors on the outside as he approaches. It’s half covered by the stuff already, leaving the opening barely wide enough for him to slip through, but Kaveh manages.
The inside is larger than the temple had led him to assume. Sand is pressed into crevices, lining the walls, and piling up in the corners, dusting over the walkways, and making it obvious the place hasn’t seen human contact in a while.
Or at least, it should have been the case.
Unfortunately, the presence of a man standing at the end of the walkway makes the opposite apparent. Kaveh feels his heart nearly stop in his chest as he stares at him, mouth falling agape for only a moment before he narrows his eyes and takes a few steps forward.

Summary
There is a demon in Alhaitham’s house.
He doesn’t have horns or a tail, but Alhaitham is sure of it. He is a tumor slowly sinking his teeth into every bit of the place Alhaitham once called his and his alone, and he is taking over every inch. He permeates through the air, sinking deep into each corner.
There is a succubus lying on Alhaitham’s couch.
He stays on his stomach even as Alhaitham passes through the door. He kicks his bare ankles into the air, almost seductively. His shirt is loose on his body; the hole in the back begins to expose one of his sides, allowing Alhaitham to gaze upon unblemished milky white skin.
He clears his throat, and dares to under this temptress’s name, “Kaveh.”
The demon turns. Brilliant red eyes flash as the creature gazes at him, a hint of curiosity in his stare. His head tilts to one side, and he places down the pencil he’d been sketching with, the sketchbook disappearing from his interest. “Alhaitham,” he replies simply.

In an effort to go on the rebound, Kaveh downloads an app to meet hot young singles in his area. Apparently, his area means his apartment. But Kaveh doesn't know that, and neither does Alhaitham.
Or, they break up and start sexting each other on an app without knowing it.
