Ed stops by to help clothing store manager Stede with a rough work day.
Stede's wearing his sexy little reading glasses, and when he looks up and sees Ed, the tension in his face reduces by a generous 25 percent. "Oh, thank god you're here, Ed. It's been disaster after disaster with this rollout. The shipments arrived late, and one of the boxes that's supposed to have swimsuits is full of—" he pauses and puts a hand to his temple— "tweed sport coats."
Ed leans in to plant a kiss right where Stede’s fingers are pressed. "Swimsuits? It's like the Arctic outside, don't you think folks are more likely to want the tweed?”
“Resort collection. They think everyone’s getting ready for a midwinter Caribbean vacation.” Stede laughs bitterly. “But they can’t do that if I don’t have swimwear to sell them, can they?”- Language:
