when alterra had assigned you to the aurora as one of the few ‘doctors’ aboard, you had expected a smooth trip across intergalactic space to build a new phasegate. after all, alterra was the best when it came to space travel, right? and you were a very valuable asset, being the young, genius ‘doctor’ you are.
but no, instead, the aurora is attacked and you are scrabbling to get to an escape pod.
landing on the unknown planet-4546b, you are left racing against the clock to find the cure for this strange bacteria that is infecting your systems and preventing you from leaving the planet safely.
now, if only those two, giant, ‘leviathan’ classified creatures that have been playing with you since day one would decide if they wanted to eat or help you, your job would become so much easier.

for as long as you can remember, the ocean has always been a part of your life. though you could not hear the cries of the seagulls, the crashing of the waves or the shouting of the sailors, you could smell the heavy scent of salt, feel the grains of sand between your toes, and see the glittering blue surface that shines so bright beneath the midday sun.
the ocean never fails to surprise you.
whether those surprises be bad or good however, you’ll have to deal with that yourself. even if they involve cursed pirate ships, malicious captains, a beautiful siren and many, many fish.
oh, and some good old fashioned magic too.

Summary
In a political move against Alterra, the Mongolian States sent your ship out to build a new phazegate in the far reaches of the Ariadne Arm. You were equipped with everything you needed and then some. Now, the long five year journey was nearly over, and after a quick stop at planet 4546-B, you would begin construction within the very star system. But you did not expect everything to fall apart before your very eyes, at least, not this fast. And certainly not so violently.
Now trapped on an oceanic planet, you must figure out how to survive or die trying. As you continue and push through the various flora and fauna, you find that you are not as alone as you first thought.

No one is sitting in the pod with you. No one.
You were alone.
Not alone. There were other pods that had shot off as you rushed to your own, so there must be other survivors. You’d like to keep from spiraling down into a further panic, and if telling yourself that you aren’t alone helps than that’s what you’re going to fucking do.
It takes several minutes of shaky breathing before the constricted feeling squeezing your lungs starts to leave. Not better just yet, but better than before. Resting your head against the metal behind you, your eyes finally peek open to glance around the pod.
