Summary
Then Grian, a crystalline interference radiating from his new form, the mark of a different being taken over. A target, if BigB wanted to fulfil his role. Since Grian remained apparently unaware of BigB’s own transformation, it would be easy to strike him down. Easy to take the Watcher-vessel by surprise. To end his life, and he would die for a second time, technically. Which… eh, he couldn’t say he was keen to do.
From the start, BigB kept to himself. He’d always been good at sticking to the sidelines, blending in with the crowds, and his Hollowing only enhanced those skills. People’s eyes just tended to slide off him, their attention drawn elsewhere, away from his uncanny traits. In a death game, especially one he didn’t quite know how to escape from, being invisible would serve him well.

Summary
I began my research into “Acute Molecular Wasting Syndrome” (referred to henceforth as AMWS) at the start of this year due to an influx in cases brought about during the extinction event of SERVER-308912, also known as “Evolution”. The steep incline of cases led to an exciting opportunity for my final research project, to be one of the first to observe in detail the effects of AMWS on a player body. I was given an expert team and vast medical resources and facilities, under the impression that I may learn groundbreaking critical information about how to identify, treat, and prevent AMWS.

A paper written by Zedaph, from the same universe as 'INCOMING MESSAGE - COMM RECORDS'. The main fic doesn't need to be read to understand this one, though it might make the experience more interesting.

Summary
The apocalypse snuck up on the world slowly, much slower than anyone could have predicted. No one even noticed at first, aside from maybe scientists and those paranoid folk. People with panic bunkers, three years of rations, and his short-wave radio, just waiting for the worst to happen with a kind of glee. Whether any of it did them any good in the end, Mumbo had no idea.

Summary
Mumbo considered himself a decent person, all things considered. He’d been raised by well-meaning human parents—hippie types who cared a lot about the plight of their hybrid counterparts. Their ideals transferred back down to him quite naturally, the motto of Peace, Love & Plants, even though he was born after the Cull. After the rounding up of hybrids, that is.
It was never about feeding people. Things change fast, he supposed. As much as he would like to be some rallying activist or hybrid saviour, he was just a man trying to get by and do the least harm possible. Just Mumbo. Just surviving. Ignoring it as best he could. He wouldn’t make a difference in the lives of those hybrids. They would be slaughtered all the same.
At least, that’s what he thought. It’s funny how life catches up to you. How it can all change in a matter of hours.
OR:
An escaped hybrid breaks into Mumbo's house, changing the trajectory of both their lives forever.
