Kanae knows his effect on people. This is what makes some people feel uneasy around him because it seems like they are in the palm of Kanae’s hand. He also lied as he easily as he breathes. Kanae’s dry-humor commentary, teasing banter, and trolling acts, with the addition to his maniac laugh, make him seem like a crazy, mean guy.
These people would describe Kanae as mysterious, cunning, or even psychopath.
For Kuzuha, Kanae is just Kanae.
