Horror flooded Akira's steel gray eyes, and Goro wondered if this was the look Akira had given the interrogators before Goro gifted him a swift death. The horrified look differed from the dead-inside, impassive one Akira gave him in the interrogation room. Did this mean killing Akira had all been his cognition? That he’d imagined Akira facing his silencer with little more than a blank, drugged stare?
Did he look like this instead? Scared and unable to run away like a cornered, injured animal facing his next beating?
Goro found himself shaking, seething. “You…” His eyes watered as anguish filled every particle of his body. “You died.”

“So that’s it,” Shido said, with a fatherly hand on Ren’s shoulder. “Sign here, on the line, or go to prison for six years.”
Numbly, Ren took the offered pen. The line wavered in his vision, but somehow he managed to scrawl his name across it.
The whole encounter took less than ten minutes, and then Shido got up and told him to go home, that he’d call soon.

There's something wrong with Goro. He doesn't care if Ren wears a dress, yet every time Ren puts one on, it feels like the world is ending all over again. For his boyfriend's sake, Goro needs to fix what's broken inside him, even if that requires drastic measures; even if it forces him to talk about his issues with a stranger. Or, worse, talk about them with Ren.

Summary
Upon finding out she’s actually related to Akira’s unhinged boyfriend, and after accidentally eavesdropping on something as gross to her personally as milk mixed with Pepsi, Futaba drowns her sorrows in marble soda and vents to a helpful bartender. While she doesn’t drop names, she still offers the worst explanations imaginable and for the dumbest reasons at that.
Unfortunately for everyone involved, the kind hearted but mildly concerned bartender also happens to be one of Akira’s employers.
