Summary
A stone lies in her hand. It is carved carefully and beautifully in the form of one of her many children. Small golden cracks crawl across its surface, golden light shining like a beacon in the moonlit space her temple.
Inside the stone the Lady holds ever so gently is a powerful monster who was never meant to live for more than to die. And yet, even Nüwa, Lady of Life, can be surprised by its strange surprises. Today was always fated to happen, the hatching and sacrifice was always meant to happen. And yet, the Lovely Goddess almost feels as if she should have predicted one of her most impulsive and creative children would somehow complete a job not meant for him, yet somehow doing it better then her herself.

OR an alternate universe where the world ends during Monkey Kings journey to the west and he manages to save the world BEFORE Mk is hatched to complete his duty. And so, Lady Nüwa, knowing Mk is too powerful for the world to handle, decides to raise him in her temple.
(I am changing the title because the one I choose was at 1 am and I was feeling uncreative 😭 had to generate a title with c.ai lol)

Summary
“Hey Monkey King what, uh, what are you doing here?” MK joins in, nervous. He peeks out from behind Macaque to see the monkie’s smile grow larger, almost too large. It brings a shiver down MK’s spine.
… And when did it get so cold?
MK grips his furry arms, trying to find some warmth. Surprisingly, it doesn’t work. Even his new, fluffy fur can’t stop the weird coldness. They let a gasp out and white air is breathed into the supposedly summer night.
Uh oh.
“Mon-” MK goes to speak up, but the king's smile stretches up like a horror movie, shutting them up in fear. Nevermind. This is not his beloved mentor.

Remember the coldest winter AU? I love the concept and thought I'd take a crack at it! This is also inspired by a few others works but mainly does have my own lore I made up.

Summary
Macaque comes back to life over a thousand years after his death and immediately decides he wants nothing to do with Sun Wukong ever again. Unfortunately, not seeking revenge on the Great Sage makes his second life only minutely less stressful. He's incredibly weak from his impromptu resurrection, the Lady Bone Demon wants to collect his debt to her, and on top of that, Sun Wukong seems intent on hunting him down.
With practically no magic left, unwilling to go back to the Diyu, and refusing to help in destoying the world, Macaque flees. Maybe if he continues to be slippery enough, Wukong, his new stupidly optimistic successor and his friends, and the Lady Bone Demon will leave him alone.
In hindsight, it's laughable to think he could escape them.
