“Well, hussy, I, Grimoire Weiss, will not stand for this. I believe we must take cover at once,” Weiss glared at her, which was impressive given he didn’t have a face.
“Nier, what do you think?” The boy had asked innocently.
“Like I said, we’ll just keep-” Nier began to speak, though he was interrupted by himself. He froze.
A single piece of wet hair was stuck to the back of his neck. He felt sick.
It all seemed to come flooding back to him in an instant. The memories he had tried so hard to bury, the nights he vowed to tell no one about until the day he had died, the feeling of self-hatred he had felt afterward.
