V reads over the short list on the screen. And then he reads it twice.
“Black Dog?” His nose wrinkles. It’s only five songs, but three are too familiar. And second line, right there: “Like, Johnny’s Black Dog?”

How V always thought the rest of her life would go is drastically different to how it actually does. The Bakkers sell out. Night City falls through. Jackie finds them a gig, somewhere far and with a view, and V meets someone strange, and caged, and new.
