Castiel is in the Empty. How long has he been in there? He has no way of knowing. One day, the Empty comes with an intriguing offer. But there is a catch. There always is with the Empty, Castiel knows. Still, he accepts. Begins a war of minds. Castiel will get out and find Dean again, he has to. The price may be steeper than he thought. This is the first chapter of what I hope to be a novella. Please note this fic is best suited to mature audiences: graphic violence, sexual assault, self-harm, depression.
