“Isn’t it obvious why I’m here? Why else do people go to school?” There’s a fire in Pat’s eyes that makes Pran pause for a second.
“You did it on purpose, didn’t you?” He finally replies, peering at Pat.
“What?” Pat asks, furrowing his eyebrows before he suddenly pushes Pran’s hands off from where they’d been loosely resting by his shoulders, and attempts to smooth out the wrinkles in his shirt.
Pran steps back, realizing how close they’d been standing. “There are thousands of schools to choose from and you just happen to show up where I am? What a coincidence,” he remarks, sarcasm filling the air between them.
“You think I followed you here?” Pat says with a roll of his eyes. “Not everything is about you, Pran.”
