Summary
Matty feels himself being pushed backwards as George lifts from his reclined position, but then something happens that makes the world stop turning. And it’s quickly painfully obvious that it’s Ross, his hand gliding upwards on Matty’s side and then spilling over onto George’s chest, who’s stopped it. Ross, the whole world in that one hand, now sprawled across George’s lower belly, firmly pushing George down.
“No,” Ross is saying, loud and clear and real and right there, as if this wasn’t all just a colourful, vivid hallucination. “Stay.”
