Had to work fast - had to do something. The maintenance hatch was to Jinx’s right, the ventilation lower and behind her. Jinx had to know about them to use them - had to know about them so that Vi wouldn’t go from finding so much to being left with so little.
Vi slammed her foot onto the groaning bolts, making the platform groan and shudder, and was rewarded with Jinx’s blue hair whipping around to glance upwards, a grenade in her hand.
Vi pointed to the hatchway, to the ventilation, eyes wide, eyes pleading. Get it. Please get it. Please, please, please-
Jinx’s head turned, and Vi saw her body jerk as she understood.

It was quiet as Caitlyn and Vi both processed the information, and then very slowly Vi pointed her finger to Caitlyn, and then to herself, one eyebrow raised up to the buzzed half of her hairline. “Us. Get married.”
A new law in Piltover prevents Zaun convicts from working topside without citizenship. Luckily for Vi, all she and Caitlyn have to do is take the next step of their relationship and get married, securing Vi a place in Piltover.
Only problem is, they aren’t in a relationship.

Summary
Vi is only just beginning to figure himself out, he doesn't really have the brain capacity to add someone else to the mix. But when Ekko get's a new office mate it upends everything and he finds he's not the only one having life altering realisations in their thirties.
Basically a coming of age-esque one-shot but instead of teenagers they're boneheaded thirty year olds who are still struggling to figure things out.
