Summary
Jess can see the cogs of his mind whirring as he moves beside her to sit down. She knows this expression, his disposition. His willingness to listen to her and speak with her and allow her to air her menial concerns. He's such a kind person and she hasn't missed their past relationship quite as much as when he says, "well, has anything changed?"

Summary
Now, she looks directly at Humphrey. It almost frightens him, her intensity. He idly imagines that this is how it must feel for Martha nearly every day. It must be similar for Esther when he's mulling over a case, and Kelby, and Margo.

Summary
He only realises that he's zoned out when he feels Jess' calloused fingers land gently on his hand, which is still gripped firmly around the gearstick. "Are we good?"
"Yes," he says, with too little hesitation for how he feels. "Yes, of course," he repeats. Maybe if he says it enough, it'll be true.

Summary
It's hard to not imagine that she's back there. With Humphrey. Falling further and further in love with him by the minute. She supposes that's why he came here. The escapist beauty that Saint Marie welcomes, and the warm memories that accompany it, leaves little to be desired.

Summary
The evening begins as Jess pulls up into Jimmy's drive, a small gift bag for Victoria clasped in her grip with her handbag. She heaves open the door of her car; Jimmy's driveway is on such a slope that she has to pull her handbrake completely taught as she parks. As she makes for the front door, the porch light flickers on, only one of the two bulbs working. She's been meaning to offer to fix it but every night, just as tonight plays out, he answers her knock on his door with a deep, warm kiss that robs her mind of any coherent thought until his hands and fingers are no longer caressing some part of her body as his most loving eyes and giddy smile watch her.
She still raps on his door by way of courtesy, even though the second key to the building sits in her pocket, looped with her car keys. And she still awaits his invitation - or, gesture, more accurately - to enter his home despite the fact that this place, filled with Jimmy and Victoria, feels more like a home than the quaint apartment she resides in for fewer than five hours a week.

Summary
When corporate whistleblowers Ben Adams and Chris Robinson barely escape an attempt on their lives, they gladly accept the protection of the Federal Witness Protection program. What they don't count on is being sent to a city that feels more like something out of a movie or a sitcom than real life: Pawnee Indiana. An AU starting in "Master Plan." Summary
A Christmas interlude in an ongoing Spuhura/Spyota romance. It reveals just how much effort a half Vulcan Commander will make to organise the perfect gifts for his beloved Nyota (or should that be Nei'rrh?) And it tests Uhura's xeno-cultural and communications knowledge in a simulation designed to show Starfleet cadets that there is more than one way to define success.
A follow-on fic from "The Architecture of Emotion" (TAOE). Strongly recommend reading TAOE first, because "Alpha Incognito" makes numerous references to events which happen in the earlier story.Series

Summary
"So you slept with a young, impressionable half-Vulcan, who you never thought you'd see again, and is now a decorated graduate, a superior officer, and even though you're not interested in a relationship with him, he rocked your world in a way that you can't forget," Gaila said carefully. "Basically." "That's great. You and I are going to be best friends with a story like that."
