Spike really only registered one part of that. 'But vampires don’t get fevers.'
Her face suddenly took on a very affectionate look, and even though she still didn’t smile, he felt he would have been happy if she never stopped looking at him like that. She reached out and began smoothing his hair. 'I know,' she said softly."
In this version of BtVS season 8, we will see Xander date a normal girl for once, discover why the Immortal and Buffy entered each other's lives, and answer the age-old question of the Shanshu Propechy. Actually, more than one age-old question about it. And if we could figure out how to not have so many apocalpyses anymore, well, that wouldn't be terrible.

In a softer sweeter version of Buffy's world, Spike has moved into the Summers house and developed a habit of reading Buffy to sleep with Victorian poetry after he finishes up the dishes. When you have the weight of the world on your slayer shoulders, it takes a lot for you to feel safe, but he'll do whatever it takes.
