Steve’s groan of impending, self-inflicted doom is beautiful, it’s music to Eddie’s ears. And because he’s not a total asshole, Eddie tries valiantly not to wheeze hysterically at how badly Steve looks like he regrets his decision already.
“I regret this decision already.” Steve clarifies for him from behind the hand he has pinching the bridge of his nose. “Just for the record.”
“Duly recorded.” Eddie promises, deadly serious in an instant. Recorded duly as in; he’ll never forget this moment or the significance of what Steve is truly agreeing to here. “Oh, Harrington, I could kiss you.” And for some fucking reason, finds himself saying. “Actually, you wouldn’t be the first bassist I’ve kissed.”

“Did you?” Prosciutto drawls like it hurts to live, but the fact he was still there and hadn’t stalked away to another damn province and as far away from Melone as possible says more than Prosciutto’s mean disdain ever could.

Dabi stares at Hawks blankly, looking right through him like doesn't quite believe his eyes. But his teeth bare as recognition dawns, eyes gleaming like the cat about to get the cream and the canary. “What’s a pretty little bird like you doing in a place like this, hero?”
Hawks just loves it when his targets set the tone, and this tone just happened to be his favourite. “So we’re getting the fact you think I’m pretty out of the way? Very direct. I like it.”
(hawks has his orders, he knows his mission, and by the time hawks is finished with him, he’ll know every dirty secret dabi has to offer too. one way or another, dabi will unknowingly help bring down the league himself.

Summary
Like most of Fareeha’s Terrible Ideas, this one ends in a freefall from the skies.
The major difference with this particular Terrible Idea was that for once it was involuntary. Well, mostly involuntary. Fareeha had semi-planned for this to happen, just not the uncontrollable plummet to certain doom in a deadweight metal coffin of suit form.

Prosciutto e Melone: an Italian appetizer in which cured ham is served with melon. Thought to go together because prosciutto is hot and dry while melon is cold and moist, thus balancing the four humors of fire, air, earth and water.
The assassins Prosciutto and Melone also go together, in their own weird, dissonant yet complementary way.

“I’m glad you’re here,” Luffy says when the bowl is empty. He’s clearly exhausted, his limbs and the lines of his body all drooping as though his bones have all gone wobbly. He can barely sit up on his own. “Sorry they asked you to come.”
“‘Sorry’?” Sabo parrots, not sure he heard correctly. There’s a dull sort of horror blooming in the pit of his stomach like a sick flower. “Why ‘sorry’?”
“Ace had his own adventures, and I have mine,” Luffy mumbles, drifting off again. “You have yours, too. I don’t want you to miss them. I don’t want you to miss anybody. Or to… be here when you’d rather be…”
“Luffy—”
“Free,” Luffy manages. “Sabo’s supposed to be free.”

Summary
The light overhead isn't from Minion island's overcast sky but instead a steel plated ceiling shining down fluorescence, glass and plastic bottles rattling on shelves against the walls. Everywhere there's monitors and familiar machinery and the distinct tang of antiseptic, sharp beyond the memory sense of blood and snow. For half a second Law looks at it all very blankly and thinks, What The Hell. Is he dreaming. Is he hallucinating. Is he just plain dead. His sight-line completes the rotation of this impossibility to fall upon speckled jeans and a long sweeping coat. And the man standing in front of Law has the blankest expression Law's ever seen. And the man standing in front of Law has Law's father's face.
Underneath Law's blood-slicked fingers, Cora-san's pulse shudders.
(This is a story where the past and the present collide. Wherein thirteen year old Trafalgar Law and twenty-six year old Rocinante tumble sideways through time-space via the blue desperation of a newly eaten devil fruit, from Minion island to a future distant. Right, unwittingly, onto the submarine deck of a another Law shortly after Doflamingo’s fall.)
