Summary
In which: after a night on the town with the Rogues, Luke calls Father for a ride home - forgetting, apparently, that his formerly murderous Sith Lord of a father is currently for some reason a cat. The next morning, he gets to deal with the aftermath.

Summary
Everyone knew Luke's face - earnest eyes, easy smile, dimpled cleft on the chin.
Everyone knew Luke's face, and she knew it better than most: the different degrees of his smiles and the set of his jaw when he had decided on a particularly stupid course of action and the way sometimes his eyes crinkled into a smile even though his mouth didn't because he was trying to suppress a laugh.
But even though his face was right, his eyes were wrong. They weren't the pure blue of summer skies, but xanthous gold and rimmed in fiery red. Sith eyes.
Luke Skywalker had Sith eyes.
Sequel to "Black Pawn," in which the author continues her crusade to fix Dark Empire and postulates that Luke Skywalker would, in the singular chance that the Legends canon afforded him, be a competent, terrifying, and powerful Big Bad if given the chance.

Summary

Or: your author randomly wrecked herself by thinking about how Vader never got a chance to feel sunlight for twenty years or even to touch his children, and decided that naturally the only way to fix that was to write an absolutely ridiculous story in which Vader is somehow reincarnated as a cat after Endor, and now he's secretly just Luke's weird angry cat with superpowers.

Summary
For bereaved parents, grief became complicated and compound. The word for mourning was roughly translated to "sharing sadness to lessen a burden." For the grief of a child's death, the term was "soul loss," to convey the loss of an essential part of one's self.
Thus, "I mourn my child's death" became something akin to "I share this hole in my soul with others, that I may lessen the burden."
