Summary
Remus is a PhD student and hobbyist baker who finds himself adrift following his father’s death. On a whim, he enters the Great British Bake Off and is swept up in a flurry of curdled custard, shrunken souffle, and under-proved dough. Remus expects to be challenged and to embarrass himself on public television. What he doesn’t account for are the friendships he develops with the other contestants and the deep connection he forms with his teenage crush, Sirius Black: charming ex-boy band member and Bake Off presenter.
or,
Sirius groans, dropping his head back into his hands. “It’s the dough,” he mumbles into the skin of his palms. “It’s the kneading. It’s his hands. They’re obscene.”
Lily laughs. “They are a bit, aren’t they?”

Summary
“A 97 percent?” her mother asks, eyes never leaving the page of the exam booklet that she’s studying.
Lily nods, realizes her mother can’t see her, and replies, quietly, “Yes.”
Her mother hums. It’s an uncertain hum, with an undercurrent of disdain. Lily is very good at interpreting her mother’s hums.
“Well, that’s not bad darling.” A pause. Lily waits for what is inevitably coming. “But where did the other 3 percent go?”
OR
In her fifth year at Hogwarts, Lily Evans begins to dissolve. This is a story of hunger, pressure, what it takes to exceed expectations, and what it means to survive them.

Summary
“Have we met before?” the other man says, scrutinising him closely. “You’re from here? From London? Where?”
“Firstly,” Martin tells him, ticking off his fingers, “no, I’m not. Secondly, fuck off am I telling a stranger where I live. I have lived in London long enough to pick up that much, at least. Thirdly, who are you? And how do I know you?”
“I—“ the man says, frowning. “I don’t know either. But I know you.”
-
Somewhere else, through a train window, Martin spots a familiar face.

Summary
“Is that a body,” Tim blurts before he can stop himself, rising to his feet. Martin looks, if possible, even more scared.
“He’s alive!” he hisses, almost defensively. “It’s not - it’s not Gertrude again, I didn’t kill him, he just – I don’t know what happened to him, I just found him in the stacks like this.”
“And you dragged him up here?” Tim says, and then registers several things at once – the build, the hair texture; the little round scars peppering a pair of thin hands and an awfully familiar face. “Wait, is that Jon?”
----
Jon stumbles back into an earlier Archive, looking for a way to fix the world. (Or, mom says it's my turn for the obligatory time travel au)

That soulmate AU where you get the name of your soulmate on your wrist...except instead of your soulmate, it's the person who kills you.
___“Can’t eat this,” Jon says.
Georgie looks up from her chicken sandwich. She blanches. “Jesus, Jon. You look—what’s wrong?”
Jon taps the top left side of his chest. “Name tag. Didn’t see until he gave us our food.”
“Oh. Oh! You mean...” Georgie looks around like she expects to see the grim reaper perched on a booth cushion. “Shit. Should we leave?”
“Well I mean—I don’t—I mean he might not be that Martin. And even if he were, there’s hardly anything I could do about it. You know how it is. I’d try to leave and he’d—he’d trip on his way to the kitchen and a fork would fling itself into my jugular or something.”
