Summary
Bobby enters the bathroom. Bobby goes to the shower and sweeps aside the curtain. Bobby looks down and immediately jerks back.
“Well?” Buck asks.
“Nope,” Bobby says.
“Nope?” Buck stares at him—he's already halfway to the door. “What d’you mean, nope?”
“Nope as in I-can’t-help-you-here nope.” He does look apologetic. Only a little bit, though. Mostly he looks like he’s three seconds from passing out.
One incapacitated Buck and one mystically teleporting Bobby against one gigantic half-drowned spider. Sounds like the start of a really, really bad joke. Maybe an equally bad fantasy novel. Alas, this is neither of those things.

Summary
Buck’s been talking about beavers and their goddamn mate-for-life beaver soulmates for 45 minutes — and Eddie is just a man. A man who is worse at dating than beavers, apparently.
He snaps. He looks at *his* non-beaver soulmate and says:
“Hey, would you date me?”

Summary
It had been a lot easier hiding under the table when Evan “Buck” Buckley had been a kid. Now, his long legs were folded up awkwardly, shoulder’s hunched, his head brushing the underside of the table. He was leaning up against a solid pair of legs, the only thing keeping him upright at this point.
The fabric of his sister’s wedding dress took up most of the small space and Buck battered down a stray piece of tule that threatened to blind him. He had, at least, taken off his suit jacket somewhere after the cake had been cut so at least he wasn’t as constricted.OR
Maddie and Buck follow a tradition they started at her first wedding with better results.

Summary
Missing Chris is less of an emotion these days and more of a physical entity. He’s sure everyone can see that he’s slowly hollowing himself out, that he can’t do much of anything else.
But when Jee laughs at him trying to get his tongue to touch his nose, and Mara loops one of her arms through his to keep him from tossing the rest of his cup in the garbage, Eddie feels solid again.
Maybe he likes yellow birthday cake ice cream after all.
(or, gerrard messes with the team's schedules and eddie 'i just drove my son to flee the state' diaz is the only option to watch mara and jee-yun after school on tuesdays, which, shouldn't be a problem at all, right?)
