After a moment of blessed solitude, Ivan floated up beside him, feet barely skimming the grass. As if that bastard needed any more of a height advantage. Till did his best to ignore him, an effort that lasted as long as it took for Ivan to press his stupid cold fingers against the side of Till’s neck.
Till shied away from the touch, glaring back at him. “Stop thinking about eating me.”
The red pinpricks in Ivan’s eyes were canted down, to the base of Till’s bare throat. “The inner elbow is the most efficient place to drink blood from, just like when the doctors draw blood for tests,” Ivan said placidly. “The inner thigh isn’t so bad either, but it can be dangerous due to the large artery in the area. Worst of all is from the neck. It’s too easy to harm something delicate and kill someone by accident.” Ivan’s eyes slowly tracked up from Till’s neck to his face, his dark eyes boring into Till’s green ones. “I don’t think about eating you when I look at your neck.”
