Prince Soobin has always longed to fall in love, to get to choose who he will spend his life with rather than being married off for the good of the kingdom. When he meets the perfect gentleman, Daniel, at a masquerade, the two fall deeply for each other despite not having seen each other's face. After the ball, they talk through letters, letting their feelings for each other grow stronger.
It all comes to an end, however, when Daniel is forced to return to his own kingdom, breaking their streak of letter contact. What is worse than how Soobin can't stop thinking about this faceless stranger he only met once, is when Soobin is informed that he is to be engaged with the distant Prince Yeonjun, who turns out to not be interested in him in the slightest.
