Sonic's life is far from boring, that's for sure, so why is he bored right now? He doesn't know. Just one of those slow days. Tails seems interested in something right now though. This weird signal he received from some abandoned facility barely connected to the EggNet. It's not an emerald, but it's fluctuating the levels of Chaos Energy inside regardless.
Huh. That doesn't...just happen.
To kill their boredom, Sonic and Tails go to investigate the signal, expecting to find some abandoned project of sorts.
Well...they weren't wrong.
But they weren't expecting it to be an actual living being that wasn't supposed to be there in the first place.And Sonic becomes a host to something that really makes him uneasy sometimes.

Amy tried to get him to talk when they started. Before deciding her time was better spent helping. Try as she might, she doesn’t get it. She wasn’t responsible for Shadow’s death.
Which fucked Sonic up even more. Because how was he at fault when Shadow was two streets away, too focused on the wires he was fusing together to notice Sonic staring through him?
