But Bucky is a smart enough person to know that good things in his life don't last long. He's expecting Sam to tell him to leave, to go back home to Brooklyn, and to stay out of his personal life. That doesn't happen though. Instead, Sam tells him that he wants everything Bucky never allowed himself to dream about. For the first time, Bucky gives himself permission to dream about that happy ending he assumed he'll never get.
