He wills the suit to hurry up, to get to the kid before the colossal tentacle can complete its descent. This has been a particularly nasty beastie, half mucus-dipping eyeball and half puckered tentacles that would make the Kraken jealous. It’s not as stupid as some of the others, either, hemming Peter in so the kid has nowhere to swing to as the tentacle prepares to take him out.
“Peter!”
The scream rips from his throat involuntarily, he’s too far away and he’s not going to make it in time, only for the tentacle to jerk to a halt as golden loops of light wrap around it and pull tight.
