Summary
Arthur didn’t know how to reconcile the Merlin that still existed in his head, big-eared and clumsy and glib, with the one who sat beside him, who looked at him with golden eyes, and spoke so easily of fate.
Or, trapped at the bottom of a lake, Arthur must come to terms with Merlin’s magic.

Summary
After Merlin loses a patient, he finds that he can"t stop himself from blaming Arthur for not doing enough to protect the druids. Unfortunately, the situation only worstens as Arthur"s inaction and an innocent death starts off a chain of events that threatens not only Camelot, but all of Albion. Canon up until "With All My Heart;" story begins approximately a week after they return to Camelot at the end of the episode.

“Guinevere, I’m sorry, but this is important. If someone’s killing people in Camelot, I have to know who’s to blame—”
“Then look in the bloody mirror!” For a moment, Merlin didn’t realize that he’d spoken aloud; he barely recognized his own voice, vicious in a way that Merlin had never allowed himself to sound in Arthur’s presence.

Summary
Merlin has no reason whatsoever to trust Mordred, and more than a few reasons not to. He"s seen the signs, been warned more than enough times, and all the energy he"s wasted in the past trying to thwart the Dragon"s prophecies pretty much just proves that the future is already decided. Destiny is painting Mordred as the villain, and so far, it"s not been wrong.
Distrusting him is easier said than done, though, particularly when half of Camelot seems to think Merlin"s hopelessly infatuated with him.
