Eunchae hides behind Chan’s legs as he opens the door, and Wonwoo is fucking crouched down on their welcome mat with a smile on his face and Chan barely gets a chance to think that everything’s going to be fine before a scream rips through the air.
“Oh,” Wonwoo says quietly, his smile dropping as he looks at Chan like he doesn’t know what’s happening.
Chan doesn’t know what’s happening, but his baby girl is screaming and clutching at the back of his legs and Chan didn’t think this would go this wrong. -

I’m cleaning up after a dog, Minghao types back, but because he loves Junhui so much, he deletes the message before sending a much nicer I’m texting you ge.
Well get out there, Junhui says, he’s wearing a black button up, you can’t miss him.
I’m going, I’m going.What Junhui doesn’t say is that the only man wearing a black button up is the fucking mutt that got him soaked, but before he can escape out whatever back door exists, the mutt sees him and has the audacity to wave.

“Alright,” Minghao says before he’s even back in Junhui’s sight. “I need you to not freak out.”
“I’m freaking out,” Junhui says, because Minghao is holding Chan’s wallet and that’s definitely Chan in the waiting room.
“And that’s why he’s wearing blockers,” Minghao sighs, “he didn’t want you to worry if you smelled him.”
“Well I’m worried even more,” Junhui hisses, getting up so fast that his chair goes sliding back into the wall with a bang. “Just get him checked in while I take care of him.” -

But that time never comes, and if anything, Junhui spends even more time with Minghao instead of hanging out at home with Chan.
He’s having a hard time finding the right dresser, Junhui tells Chan when he misses their lunch date for the third time in a week, I wouldn’t be a good friend if I didn’t help him look.
We got caught up in the series, he says when Chan asks when he’s coming home one night. The trains stopped running, I’m just going to crash here.

It’s fine, Chan tries to remind himself each time, because at the end of the day, Chan is the one Junhui comes home to, Chan is the one wrapped in his arms as he snores, Chan is the one he calls bǎobèi. Not Minghao. -

Jisung has, in fact, thought about it, about how he is not going to talk to Lee Minho, the owner of the back of the head Jisung’s been staring at for the past…he actually doesn’t know how long. It’s not that he can’t talk to him (hell, he’s even standing next to Chan, one of Jisung’s best friends, the opening would be so easy) he just won’t, because the idea of talking to the older man makes something in his stomach churn and his hands sweat, so he’s more than content where he is.
