T’Pock always knew she was Different. Growing up a ‘medical miracle’, she would have been a fool to miss it. Standing out in the room, no matter who else was there, was so commonplace as to be expected. Sometimes she wished she knew other people like her, or at least knew that they existed, but she soon grew out of this: she knew that spending her energy wishing for an impossible change was hardly logical.
