i love period romances and southeast asianification of the world so id say this was a targeted attack. additionally i read most of this in one go at night when i couldnt sleep. the following night i got 👋 and remembered/dreamt this and that it was real and my perspective of it wss as like a a mix between tens perspective and omniscent ish being who just somehiw saw everything happen. and it took me being halfway through my work day with spotify on shuffle playing phantom to realize that this was not, indeed, reality.
