“Cheers,” Hanbin says, a smile stretching on his face, one he can’t control. Their glasses clink, and it’s like it’s the only sound in the party. It feels charged. Full of something like promise. He tips back the shot of soju with his eyes screwed shut, the taste of strawberry flooding his mouth. When he opens them, Hao is grinning back at him, all pretty white teeth and pink mouth, his own shot glass empty.
He might be the death of Hanbin.
