Will hopes whoever they are, they’re underprepared; Hannibal’s stitches only just came out, and Will’s ribs still hurt when he bends down.
He makes sure the gun is hidden behind his back, if it really is a solicitor at nine o’clock at night. He makes himself look as annoyed as possible, Hannibal at his side and tensed up, when he opens the door.
The little girl covered in mud, slush, and holding a struggling lamb is the last thing he expects.
