The arrival of a new vampire on the scene, and a very sad English girl at school are shaking things up, though. Maybe Alex has lived his life for other people for too long.

He just can't get along with Henry, the venue coordinator, and the feeling is mutual. But when push comes to shove, the couple's big day has to come first.
Title taken from 'Promises' from Hadestown, since this fic was very much inspired by my own wedding and we had a Hadestown song sung during the ceremony.
