Captain Curly wakes up back in his room, with all limbs and skin attached, with the words "Audaces fortuna juvat," ringing around his skull. A vague image of a.. creature? a god? also echoes at the back of his mind, eyes glowing white with pupils like a ticking clock. Checking the date, it appears to be 3 weeks before the crash. Aside from somehow being back before the crash, Daisuke seems different. Curly swears he's seen the boy awake at unspeakable hours, eyes glowing white like the moonlight screen. Perhaps it's the sleep deprivation getting to him, but Curly swears it's something more...

Summary
What difference could one e-mail make - a rejection for a co-captain's spot? Nobody can be sure at the moment, but all Curly knew was that he'd be going solo for this mission (the bare minimum, just how Pony Express liked it). No doubt, he'd be left with a lot of work during the voyage, but, somehow, three faces (one especially) were going to make the trip worth trudging through.
