    Erik’s only purpose in life is to find and kill the man who had his parents executed—Sebastian Shaw, Captain of the Emperor’s fleet.     Pete takes a deep breath. For a minute, all Patrick can hear is Pete breathing, unsteady and uneven. He reaches for Pete's foot, squeezing it comfortingly. "Whatever it is, you can tell me," Patrick says, voice serious.

    Pete's breath catches. Patrick thinks he sees him nod. "I- Patrick, I'm like, gay. Or something."
