“Yeah?” He answers distractedly as he takes some of his last fries. They always put the exact good amount of salt; it’s delicious. Definitely one of the best fries he’s ever had.
“I like you.”
Suguru almost chokes on the fries he just put in his mouth.
“Like in a I want to kiss you so badly way.” Satoru adds, almost swallowing his words.
Satoru and Suguru go eat some KFC after a mission. And isn’t it the perfect moment for Satoru to confess his feelings to Suguru while they’re eating fried chicken?
(Suguru’s not sure he agrees with that, but he loves this idiot too much to care.)

Summary
Chifuyu then starts to explain how he feels about the protagonist, and Baji can only look at him in awe. His mind is full of Chifuyu, of his flushed cheeks, of his bright smile, of his messy hair, just of Chifuyu. His vice-captain seems to be shining like the sun as he’s speaking, and his smile grows bigger by the second even though Baji thinks it’s no longer possible.
Baji is utterly and completely and hopelessly besotted with Chifuyu, and it shows when he admires his vice-captain like he’ll never see anything or anyone that ethereal and beautiful in his life anymore. And he might be completely right.

Summary
He wants to say something, but he can’t. His voice’s stuck in his throat. It worsens when Suguru opens his eyes again—barely, but he still does. He directly looks at him and smiles so sincerely—so softly—that it feels like a slap. It leaves him motionless, and Satoru thinks that the look Suguru’s giving him makes him unable to breathe for a second. His eyes glint with emotions that Satoru can’t name, can’t fully understand—or refuses to understand. However, the one thing that immediately strikes him is those unspoken words that linger in his eyes; kill me.
Suguru’s death leaves Satoru in a whirlwind of emotions that he doesn’t have any control over. He can’t contain them, can’t subdue them. So he lets himself drown on his pain, his sorrow, his grief. He keeps drowning, drowning, and drowning again.

Summary
Everything would be fine. Takemitchy wouldn’t die. Of course he wouldn’t die.
As he repeated this as his mantra, the door of the operating room opened and a doctor came out of it. Chifuyu straightened in his chair and waited for the man to talk. His face was impassive and he looked exhausted.
“Is it for Takemichi Hanagaki?” He looked at all of them, who nodded vehemently. “He is out of danger and will need a lot of rest.” He sighed tiredly. “Right now, the anaesthesia’s effects still have to fade away and he needs to recover from the surgery. You can see him tomorrow without a problem.”
Takemichi takes the blow to save Baji. He survives, but having talked too much he reveals the truth about the time leap to Chifuyu and Baji. They decide to help him and do their best while he recovers.
Blossoming feelings, fragile wounds, a mission to save their future selves and a menacing Kisaki will put the first division captain and vice-captain through hard times and they will have to find a perfect balance to not break out.
But at least they’re together.
