Agatha leaned in to connect their lips, her breath fanning over Rio’s mouth.
‘Agatha.’ Rio spoke carefully.
Agatha paused, taking in the subtle change in Rio’s face, black eyes clearing with the need to say something. She never called her Agatha unless it was something serious.
‘Hmm?’ she murmured, distracted eyes falling again to Rio’s lips.
‘That,’ Rio whispered, barely audible.
Agatha swayed forward, drawn like a magnet to her mouth.
‘That boy isn’t yours.’ Rio said firmly, softening the blow with a gentle raise of her eyebrows. Her hand stroked up and down Agatha’s arm where she was gripping her wrists to comfort her. Agatha drew back hesitantly, eyes betraying her sadness. The sadness she covered all day long.
OR
rewrite of the almost-kiss :) if I was writing that show we'd all be eating so good ... it would also be 18 and probably banned in several countries, now with chap 2 which is a finale fix-it !

Briefly muting her mic, Lae’zel unleashes a torrent of language foul enough to raise the hackles of a red dragon. (Luckily, none of her coworkers speak a lick of gith.) “Lower your volume,” she commands. “...Please,” she adds grudgingly. Her manager’s already written her up twice for ‘inappropriately combative behavior.’

Vidal grins. Her pointed teeth catch the moonlight. “Oh, please,” she says, brushing a bit of dirt from the name carved into the gravestone. “I wouldn’t be caught dead dying in this town. I’m just checking up on one of the locals.”
