You chuckled dryly, lifting your battered face to look at him. “Seven times.”
He seemed taken aback. “What?"
“I’ve lived this life seven times.”
“What the hell are you-?”
“I changed everything about myself to try and please you, but every time we end up right here again.” You smiled strangely. “Does it feel good to know that you’ve killed me six times already? How will you do it now? Will you hang me like my first life or drown me like my fourth? Will you burn me like you did last time?”
“Stop talking nonsense!"
The corners of your bloody lips only rose higher, a crimson grin staring back at him. "Did it feel good?” You tilted your head back and laughed. Your vision blurred dangerously. You’d lost too much blood.
Hands clamped around your upper arms and shook you. “What..hell..mean?!” His voice faded in and out, but you knew what he was asking.
Instead of answering his question, you cupped his cheeks with your bloody hands. “I see why they call you the ‘Red Prince’ now.
